A pale, golden quaffing ale with excellent flavours for its strength. Pleasingly hoppy throughout without being aggressive and also possessing a fine aroma. The finish is dry with a small twist of sweetness at the end. If you feel that this is all rather pretentious then it can best be described as a ‘fantastic pint’!

275ml bottle conditioned, poured into one of my old 'Home Ales' half-pint glass countryman tankards at home on 22nd Nov 2018. Slightly out of date on opening. I allowed the sediment to leave the bottle, so I got a mini-haze and some 'bits' in my light golden body. Nice blend actually, semi-sweet malty molasses and some fruity hop notes in both the nose and taste.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from the bargain bin at Waitrose Canary Wharf for a quid. Pours clear yellow-gold with a small, creamy white head. The nose holds sun-kissed pale biscuits, light grains, lemon peel straw. Light sweet flavour with mellow bitterness, more straw and pale grains, moderate citric hops, more lemon peel. Light bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Tidy finish, some further crunchy pale grains, lemon peel, lightly bitter straw. Somewhat basic, but also fairly classic. Enjoyable.

Clear golden beer, thin white head. Floral, hoppy scent. Flavour is hop, citrus, malt. Dry finish with an edge of fruitiness. It's nothing remarkable but they're right on the description, it's thoroughly drinkable for it's strength. Very sessionable.

Straight from the cask at the Horseshoe Inn. Pours straw gold with no head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, and there’s peach and flowery notes in the taste. Really very pleasant.

On cask at Three Judges, Glasgow - Orange gold body with a thin white head. Nose is orange citrus, with a bit of grassiness to it. Soft mouthfeel, a juicy malty taste, with a rather bitter finish. Not too bad.

Cask at the Bell Hotel, Alresford. Bright amber with a scummy white head; plain malty aroma; simple, sweet and malty flavour; then lightly bitter with a biscuity finish. Good for a quick quaff, but nothing more.
