Cask at CP&K. It pours clear brown with a medium off-white head. The nose is bitter-sweet, brown bread, wood, light toffee and nut. The taste is rather bitter upfront, pine-needles, varnish, earth, light caramel, nut, brown bread, mild astringency and chewy malt backdrop with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Good level of bitterness and high drinkability. A rather nice bitter.

Cask @ GBBF14. Smooth nice bitter-ale start. Fresh, nice ale aroma with a smooth maltiness, that is not extremely dry, but still nice and easy to drink. Fresh and smooth. The aftertaste is even floral, nice smooth bitter malts, fresh, deep, easy to drink. Great Bitter!

Cask @ The Plough, Doncaster. Light copper brown, hazy (from the cold) with a small white head. Massive lacing. Very faint fruity aroma. Taste is a fairly straightforward bitter, getting more bitter through the taste profile. Not all that exciting. Looking at the high rates, I wonder what I’m missing...

Found as Reliance Best Bitter at the said premises in Leeds. This is a mid-brown ale although only with a medium bitterness. Next to no head and a good session brew.

Cask at CBC, London. Pours clear russet with a modest, white foam head. Quite a lovely aroma of lightly toasted malts, caramel and leaves. Light to medium sweet flavor, veery nive toasted caramel, toasty bread, mild leafy bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Beautiful carbonation. Sweet, lightly bitter finish, more toasted caramel and modest bread, subtle fruits, toast. This is one of the best, most well balanced bitters I’ve ever had.
