Bottle. Very dark. Prunes and leather, oak, a hint of vanilla; booze. Taste is surprisingly smooth, silky creamy; chocolate, dark, warm.

Bottle, huge thx Papsoe! Shared with the Munich crew at the Garching Xmas test. Huge vanilla-oak, creamy bourbon aroma, fresh herbal notes, nutty, highly pleasant, mild oxidation. Lean, dry, chocolate, nutty, oaky, lime notes, ending bitter, mild alcohol, warming. Lovely, quite lovely!

Black. Aroma is vanilla grape sugar chocolate raisin chalk syrup. Taste is dense sweet chocolate with some spicy spiky roasty bitterness. Pretty well balanced. Nice.

Bottle. Black color with beige head. Aroma is roast, oak, mildly soy saucey. Taste is roast, ash, oak, quite bitter, a bit soy sauce again, vanilla. Oily mouthfeel, low carbonation. Nice one, but almost too much soy sauce.

Bottle of Oil, no head. Soy licorice, booze nose. Medium full bourbon base, chewy oily, old fashioned impy stout, medium full body. Intense, I feel like Pad Thai now. Indulgent.

Vintage 2020. Cloudy black, thin, frothy, dark beige head. Strong aroma of green apple (acetaldehyde), calvados by extension, cognac, oak, vanilla, fudge, custard, soy, teriyaki, prune. Taste has sweet date, prune, pear & (green) apple in a chocolatey malt body with fudge, some syrup; woody vanilla notes & umami soy adorning the middle. Peppery hoppy finish, lingering soy & fondant sauce, a tad woody with heating bourbon alcohol, hinting at calvados too. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. As expected, too 'young' in the nose as I'm very sensitive to acetaldehyde, so needs cellaring. Tastewise it's more layered than the base beer, which evens things out.

Bottle, 0.75l, shared with Ema. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, bourbon and wood. Pours almost black color with thin creamy light brown head and poor lacing. Taste starts with sweet and rich roasted malt, chocolate and nuts, follows by bourbon, dried fruit and wood, mouthfeel is warm alcoholic and spicy, while finish is pretty bitter. Small dark, foxy tan rim over black beer. Sweet roast, alcohol, booze. Dry, bit musky aroma. Outspoken stout acidity, followed by serious roast, and getting much drier. Bourbon - let alone vanilla - is almost absent as a mark. The alcohol isn't. Finish is sweet and metallic rust. Furious alcoholheat, almost no carbonation; viscous and of course full bodied. Very heavy, powerful stout, but less outstanding than expected from Amager.

Clear dark brown to black beer, small creamy beige head, irregular, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: lots of dark caramel, bit oxidized, leathery, dried fruits, some vanilla, alcohol, flan caramel. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: vanilla, lots of dark caramel, malty, sweeter, some chocolate, bit of alcohol, yeasty touch, more oxidation. Aftertaste: vanilla, sweeter, sugary, bitter touch, hoppy, dry, lovely, leaving a nice roast in the mouth.
