Can at home. Oily black pour, a finger wide beige head. Nose is intense, but not overwhelming peated character, so much so that it leaves space for the underlying chocolatey, malty aromas. Pretty nicely balanced smoke and sweetness all in all. Taste is sweet upfront, booze, light caramel, milk chocolate and faint dried fruits come through with an initially weaker peated character, but this one gets more apparent with time but does not overpower the base beer. Closes with a peated truffel finish, has a medium to full, creamy body and soft, basically non-existent carbonation. Lovely.

Can from vandesStreek. Aroma is whisky upfront with wood, roasted malt, peat and smoke, chocolate, touch of dried fruits and coffee. Flavour is medium sweet with a moderate bitterness. Body is full. Fairly smooth with plenty of smoky peaty barrel, good depth, 3/3 for RISky Business varieties so far. Hope they continue with this series.

Can. Pours black with a small white head. Aroma is super intense smoke, peat, dark malts. Big body. Flavour is malty, crazy smoke, crazy peat, definitely Islay. A bit too much smoke, but not bad.
Turf, jodium, donkere chocolade, rokerig, whisky, houterig en droog.

Can. Black pour. Aroma of nice islay peat, smoke, chocolate, coffee, roasted malt, licorice, caramelised malt and oak. Taste has heavy peat, strong smoke, bitter chocolate, licorice, roasted malt, coffee, caramelised malt, iodine, thick malt and oak. Very good, lots of peaty scotch, but in a hefty malty base beer. This works.

Lekker.

Can from Geers. Cloudy black with an unstable, thin, dark beige head. Aroma of cappuccino, vanilla cream, chocolate praliné, nougat, dark fudge, gravy, toast, leather, dried fig, raisin, smoked wood. Taste has sweet fig & raisin in a thick chocolate & fudge malt body, some bitter mocha with gentle nuttiness; leathery umami edge announces the dry, toasty, peppery hoppy finish, quite roasted yet with a sourish fruit edge, and warming but never boozy peated whisky alcohol in the throat. Full body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Good, hefty RIS, Islay whisky blends in well here but I would be curious about an aged bottle that has softened the rougher edges.

33 cl can @ hotel room, Rotterdam Aroma has islay whisky and licorice. Flavour has peat, islay whisky, saltiness and some ash. The saltiness and peat are way too overwhelming here. Not in balance and drinkability suffers.

Thick syrupy black with brown foam. Sweet, syrupy with enough roastiness, peaty and smoky aftertaste. Well balanced.
