Dusty yellowish small to medium head over hazy amberish orange beer, some lace. Cinnamon wafting up upon pouring, liquorice - smelling like one of this modern day teafantasies. Bitterish and cinnamon again, undimensional, thankfull not so cartoonesque as the nose. Bit sweeter in the finish, but the finish is burning with the cinnamonbark. Light body. We knew about rootbeer. I suppose this is barkbeer.

Bottle from Tesco, Widnes [131114]
Caramel amber, clear, large off white head
Aroma of light caramel, soft cinnamon
Taste of caramel malts, touch of toffee, slight soft fruits, hint of cinnamon, simple fare, found this rather dull.
Palate - Soft carb, medium light body, soft sweet. Finish as main flavour, soft sweet light cinnamon
Overall - Didn’t get much out of this. Just a simple light caramel supermarket beer with a dab of cinnamon. Absolutely average.

500ml bottle from a Tesco store. Clear amber-brown coloured body. Dissipating beige head. Modest aroma of earthy malts and leafy hops. A lightly spiced touch added to a taste profile of stewed fruits and mid-sweet malts. Mild bitter finish. Average and rather anonymous (hotel room, London 16.08.2013).

Copper brown ale without a head. Has a mild sweet character in both aroma and taste.

500ml bottle BBD 31 May 2013: poured into a UK pint sleeve at home on 1 May 2013. Nice looking brew, reddy brown and clear with a swiftly disappearing head of white bubbles. Malts rule the nose and taste. Nutty, woody with a spicy feel throughout. Dry finish, but malty in the aftertaste, slight toffee and caramel sweetness within the flavours, but below the nut, wood and mixed spice leaders.

500ml bottle. Clear copper amber colour, thin white foam head and aroma of bread , cinnamon & yeast. Sweet caramel malt taste with a spicy cinnamon note, and a light earthy bitterness through to a dry finish. Light bodied, soft carbonation, quite OK.

Nice deep mahogany brown colour. Aroma is bready and the cinnamon comes through. Flavour is a bit fruity but also has cinnamon and a bit of a metallic edge. Technically it’s sound but I hate cinnamon.
