Originally rated November 2006. This triple witbier pours a cloudy golden-beige colour with a creamy slightly off-white head that has decent retention. The blizzrad-like carbonation is superbly active. Not much sticking to the glass. The aroma seems like the mix of a beer gone bad sourness with the fruit of a lemon. In other word, pretty sour. Very watered-down mouthfeel with absolutely no burn and quite flat. Seems like a 4% beer. The taste is tad better then the smell. A bit of spices appear with a mild sourness and a light orange flavour. Not impressed.

Bouteille.

A hazy golden ale with a very thin white head. Like Tickler said, this smelled of cream corn, not much spice, a bit like unfermented wort. In mouth, a lightly sweet malt with strong lactic notes, light cloves, the acidity is rather unpleasant. Light alcohol covered by acidity. Well, this one may be yet another infected product. 2.49$ at Joanette, Sept. 2006. Less than 3 months old.

Bottle: Poured an hazy yellow color ale with a super huge foamy white head with perfect retention. Aroma of wheat with some sourness, which may or may not be intended but is still enjoyable. Taste of wheat is pretty strong with some spices, which probably includes coriander with strong Belgian yeast also present. Finish is dry with a lingering feeling of sourness that doesn’t overshadow the rest of the beer. Body is above average and alcohol swell hidden. Really better then expected from this sometime suspicious brewery.

On draught, 6/5/2005 at Mondial. Very pale-white, slight copper tinges to it. Minimal white head grasps futilely to the surface, but can not hold on long. Modest cloudiness, little to no lacing, below average carbonation. Aroma of wet hay, coriander, very dry bubblegum, and dusty, drying yeast, lightly acidic at that. Flavor is bubblegum that has already been chewed once, light coriander acids, straw-like malt notes and a bit of a crisp, lemon finish. But then you get to the body, which is weak, watery and loose, with the low carbonation adding nothing. Very light bodied, the coriander does not seem light and fresh, but rather heavy, stale and dominating. Very drying wheat effect as well. Don’t see what made this a "triple" wit, would have put this as just a regular old watery example of the style.
