From Lambic.info : "This bottling and its label is based off of Cantina Giardino's Drogone Wine and is the second time that the brewery and the winery have worked together on a blend. Prior to being blended with the lambic, the grapes went through a 3 month pellicular maceration in chestnut wood barrels. "

Bottle pour at the RB DC sendoff meetup. Poured a clear red color, kind of ruddy red. Aroma was subtle berries, delicate fruits. Light grape, red wine. Light sour. Really nice. Light acidic character.

(Bottle, Cantillon Brewery, Brussels, 18 Oct 2024) Pale red colour, leaning towards pale amber, with brief head. Fruity nose with red grapes, red-currant, oak wood, barnyard and a touch of silage. Fruity, tart taste with notes of red grapes, red-currant, oak wood, barnyard (more barnyard and less grapes than in the Lambic d'Aunis sampled at the same time) and a dry and tart finish. Low bitterness. Rich and complex, with a fresh acidity. Lovely beer!

Bottle shared by Andy: pours deep red with small head. Aroma is grape, light funk, not vinous, slight basement. Taste is lightly tart, loads of grape, funky. Quite dry.

Side by Side with Giardino Drogone 2019 Super pale pink pour, looks like a nice Rose (or a cheap Rose I guess). The wine has a nice creamy roundness, with a tannic finish. Beer has strawberry and blueberry up front, vinous, slightly sharp.

Bottled 1/22. Clear red, a pink head flashes away. 3+ Aroma of red wine that straddles rustic and refined nicely, brooding woody funk, gentle old lemons. More wine and less grape-like than most I can think of, with rich red wine that's slightly sweet, gentle but gripping underlying acidity, subtle hay and lemon notes, round woody notes. Rich but the finish is so refreshing. Different, excellent.

Side by side with Drogone Atlantic. Tart grape funk, very fruity, pleasant sharpness. Goes well with younger Comte and Brillat Savarin. LCI

Glass from 75 cl bottle, shared by a fellow Cantillon bar goer at the Cantillon Brewery/Museum in Brussels, Belgium. The pour is a clear golden with ruby and a minimal white head. The aroma is grape, funk tart, and a little dirtiness. The taste is bright grape flavors, citrus, citric, general funk and then more of the grape and drying wood character. The palate is light bodied with soft gentle carbonation and the drying wood finish. Nice, though heavier on the grape than I personally prefer.

750ml bottle @Nettare (Rome).

Bottle shared at Marine Hotel, Stonehaven. It pours clear pale red with a small white head. The aroma is pleasing level of funk, grape must, terracotta, grape skin, deep wood character, jammy vibes, juniper, cranberry, hint of ripe soft cheese, floral and rose. The taste is crisp, dry, must, funk, barnyard, pretty clean initially, cranberry, red grape, jammy, juicy, blood orange, pomegranate, damp hay, nutty, wood, light spice, limited acidity, floral, fragrant and juniper accents with a dryish finale. Medium body and fine carbonation. Stands out as quite different to other Cantillon offerings. A real beer - wine hybrid. Quaffable.
