En meget nytbar halvliter, delt med Kitty på kafeen i Funchal botaniske hage: klar gylden med utmerket skumkrone. Deilig maltsmak kombinert med citrus, furuskog og hint av krydder. Fin ettersmak og enda finere utsikt!

Draft at O. Giro Churros and Paninis in Funchal, Madiera. Pours a clear, straw color, with a fairly big, foamy, white head. The nose is lemon zest, musty hay, light coriander, and some rose. Sweet and grainy, with a mild, crisp bitterness. Light, sharp, and clean. Refreshing and quality.

Draught at cafeteria-supermarket-bar across our hotel. Pale golden colour with a thin white head. Sweet aroma with pale malts, grasses, hay, and floral hoppy notes. The taste is light bitter. Medium body. Drying, fruity bitter finish. Drier, more hoppy than the regular Coral lager. Nice.

Pours slightly darker blonde. Small white head. Scent is maltsyrup. Pretty generic. Mild herbal/grassy hoppyness. Taste is very maltsyrup forward. Slightly bitter, crunchy 'maltyness'. Somewhat caramelly, rather sweet for a lager. Industrial, but not on the bad side of industrial lagers.

250 ml green bottle, from a minimarket in Funchal. ABV is 5%. Golden colour, small white head. Clean pilsener aroma and flavour, no off-flavours, fair enough.

Bottle picked up from local supermarche at hotel in madeira. A clear golden yellow coloured pour with a tidy white froth. Aroma is skunky, apple, big lager notes, stewed hop veg, grass. Flavour is composed of watery grains, stewed veg, grass, spicy finish. Palate is watery, thin, cardboard, moderate carbonation. A bit bollocks.
