Nitro Broken Dream has arrived! An indulgence of chocolate and speciality malts, our flagship stout is smooth, unctuous and moreish. It's brewed with lactose for balanced sweetness, along with carefully selected coffee. These cans are dosed with nitrogen in line for incredible mouthfeel.

Pour hard and fast for the full cascade effect.

Black with a firm beige head. Creamy body. Roasted malts, lightly bittersweet chocolate, light molasses, earthy hop profile, a touch of burnt black malts. Finish is dry and roasted with some bitter cocoa. Really nice brew.

Can picked up from Craftbeer webshop Parchim Germany and consumed at home Saturday 3rd May 2025 listening to Craig Charles Funk and Soul Show on 6Music after a day of gardening. We're cooking a new version of lasagna using our own Ragu, there's a little Prosciutto layer and the yoghurt, egg, cheese topping idea that we occasionally use for our Moussaka. Pours almost black with a lovely large beige head. Light coffee notes on the nose with a little bitter chocolate. Similar in the mouth, plenty of espresso coffee and dark chocolate, there is a sweetness but it's very smooth, really nice smoothness. It would be nice to try alongside the regular version.

Can, gift from Mum - cheers Mum! Having had the original Broken Dream on keg I was surprised and pleased to find that this canned version still gave me a new tick. It's black in hue with a creamy beige head. Tastes of black coffee, tiramisu, cocoa; it's sweetish at first with (as you'd expect for a nitro brew) a nice smooth mouthfeel. But then there is a heavy-handed ashy roast in the finish, which is too bitter to go with the main flavours and becomes rather astringent astringent. Not a patch on the original Broken Dream this.

0.44 l can from 'Craftbeershop.com', canned in February 2024. Black with a medium large, foamy, almost stable, beige head. Sweetish-malty, gently roasty aroma of caramel, cocoa, toasted hazelnut, coffee and some vanilla. Gently sweet, malty, quite roasty and moderately bitter taste of caramel, cocoa, toasted hazelnut, coffee and vanilla, followed by a short, gently roasty-bitter finish. Medium body, smooth and slightly oily mouthfeel, almost flat. Pleasant stout, wouldn't recommend a hard pour though.

Can from Waitrose, West Byfleet. Aroma is rich - coffee, malts, liqourice edge. Dark and glossy. Thick foamy beige head. Medium bitter. Espresso.... Mocha. Tangy juicy sour berry wave. Develops sugary sweetness especially into the finish. Medium bodied. Creamy. Sticky. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long somewhat astringent finish. Enjoyable stuff.
