Cask at the Grapes, Oxford, 16/08/2025.
Light golden pour topped with an off white head.
Nose is grass, melon, tangerine, light breads.
Taste comprises melon, bready malts, orange zest, straw.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with mellow hop bitterness.
Passable pale ... a little tired me thinks.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 12 May 2024) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, hoppy nose with citrus, grapefruit, grass and pine needles. Fruity, hoppy taste with notes of grass, citrus, leafy hops, grapefruit, soft malt and a gentle grassy/citric bitterness. Medium body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing, with a fresh hop character. Very nice.

Cask Tonbridge Rugby Club Winter Festival 2024. Hazy pale gold colour lasting white head. Some citrus hops on aroma. Quite soft in the mouth has a little vegetal quality. Not much bitterness on the finish. I like the citrus fruit quite mild and sweet. But there is a vegetal aroma and flavour which isn't great.

Cask at Hops, Crewe. Pours a hazy golden orange with minimal white head. Oranges vand some hints of malt in the aroma. In the mouth it sweet and juicy at the start with floral hops and traces of citrus. After a while bitterness starts to pervade with grains, barley sugar and hints of grapefruit. Finish is fruity and slightly dry. This is reasonable, but a bit bland.

440ml can delivered by the Blue Boar and drunk at home. It pours light to mid-gold, clear with a fair amount of visible carbonation, and a large rocky white head. Orange and lemon peel in the aroma, lovely fresh scent with a delicate floral character. Taste is bittersweet with a touch of soap, rounding to a more bitter finish. Berries and white grapefruit join the lemon in the aftertaste. Soft to medium carbonation. I like this.
