As in the Belgian tradition of brewing Christmas beers, this is our very own version. It is added with orange peel and raisins. The aromas are warming and captivating and swing from nutty to citrus and slight hints of honey. Mouthfeel starts with caramel and honey flavors and lead to cherry and currant flavors with a delicate bitter finish.

Medium beige head. Hazy reddish body with lots of particles and strong carbonation. Fruity wooden aroma with brown sugar raisin notes. Dryish spicy mealy fruity taste with wooden raisiny notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, mealy mouthfeel. Dry resiny spicy raisiny aftertaste with fruity wooden metallic notes. Nice, drinkable, full of flavour. Maybe a little dry and harsh. (0.33l bottle, from wine monopoly.)

Bottle split by 2 thanks to Kraddel. Dark amber brown, deep tanned bubbles. Nose is sweet raisin, sugar, candy, sweet, low BE dark fruits & low oxidation. Simple, low oxidation note, sugar, candy, some plastic, raisin, basic,... Simple bodied, slick,... Not sure where the oxidation note comes from since that it is pretty fresh supposedly, orange peel & raisin combo maybe? Decent sweet Belgian styled brew.

Pours dark copperbrown. Small white head. Smell is mildly sweet, fairly complex. Taste is rather swet, sharp, some woody notes ( no oak , just malt complexity ) some leaves, mild caramel. Nice, actually. Pretty complex,hiddem tastes.

Tap at Salon piva. Rich, complex intense mix of flavours, mostly malty - caramelly, chocolatey, fruity. Full bodied with lots of sweetness, which is however balanced by med-high bitterness. Some of the fruity character also seems to be fruit derived. Overall a really clean balanced rich tasty beer.

Flaska från SB. BBD 2017-10. Mörkt bärnstensfärgad, en del sediment med lågt men kompakt och krämigt skum. Djup söt doft av sött vitt vin, torkad frukt, mörk karamell och sötlakrits. Mjuk rund med väl integrerad alkohol, smaken är torrare och inte lika utvecklad som doften med en lite träig torr eftersmak. Trevlig.

Bottle. Pours a deep reddish brown colour with a beige head. Aroma of dates, spices, anise, chocolate, caramel, wort and some coffee. Lots of dried fruit in the flavor, caramel, cocoa and leather. Has a soft and silky mouth feel, full-bodied and light bitterness. Low carbonation. An ale filled with dried fruit, and is well-balanced. Delicious.

Fra flaske på Mi2 Cardinal feb-17: denne kom rett etter Toccalmatto B Space Invader, og var sannelig like god. Mørkebrun rav med flott skum. Myk og innsmigrende aroma og smak med gule rosiner, søt appelsin, kandis, litt krydder (belgisk gjær) og sviskeplommer. Et deilig og velbalansert snopeøl.

Shared bottle at Cardinal, Stavanger. Pours hazy brown with off-white head. Aroma of raisins, caramel, some chocolate. Tastes sweet with little bitterness. Medium bodied.

330 mml bottle tasted on the 01/01/2017. Deep copper colour with a small creamy beige head. Medium carbonation and body. Aroma is malts, sugar and some caramel. Taste is roasted caramel and malts. Next one please!

Kicsi, tartós hab, barna szín. Nehéz, gyümölcsös, enyhén karamelles illat. Édeskés, karamelles ízekkel lódul neki, majd gyümölcsök gurulnak elő a háttérből, aztán hosszú lecsengéssel távozik, a végén enyhe fűszeres keserűvel. Testes, enyhén szénsavas és kesernyés. Jó ütemben követik egymást a hasonló intenzitású aromák, egészen kellemes sör.
