Draught @ Van Moll Brewpub shared with Caesar. Clear pale golden color, average sized off-white head. Smell and taste malts, slightly hops, a hint of yeast and white wine. Decent body and carbonation.

Bottle. Appearance - golden with a decent lacy head. Nose - lemon and yeast. Minerals. White pepper. Taste - more lemon, possibly candied. Wood spice. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - this doesn’t have a huge amount of high notes but a lovely balanced refreshing beer.

(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 17 Sep 2016) Pale yellow colour, slightly hazy, with lasting big white head. Fruity, malty nose with notes of biscuits, lemon, pineapple, passion-fruit and white bread. Fruity, malty taste with white bread, citrus, peaches, pineapple, grass and fresh floral hops in a finish with a gentle bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Tasty and well balanced, with a fresh hop character. Nice one.

Light haze on this paleish gold beer, thin white head. Palate is light and semi dry, reasonable carbonation. Light smooth malts. Typical saison - light herb, light generic fruits, mild floralness. Modest orange. Light finish. Thought the Rakau hops would give this an earthy edge but didn’t get that at all. Okay.

Cloudy pale yellow, white head. Mild citrus aroma, a touch of herbal hops. Flavour has slightly citric yeastiness, malt and spice or herbs. At first I thought it was rosemary, but it’s more like mild clove. Decent.

Sampled from tap at the Oedipus International Beer Festival 2016. Slightly hazy, straw yellow with a white head. Fruity-grassy, minimally funky and slightly floral aroma of lemon peel, pineapple and fresh grass. Slightly bitter, grassy-fruity, slightly floral and a little funky taste of lemon peel, pineapple and some grass, followed by a short, slightly bitter, a little dry finish. Thin to medium body, slightly creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Keg at #Arch, 02/07/16. Clear golden blonde with a decent off white head. Nose is tangerine, hay bale, lemon curd, trace of vanilla extract, light spice. Taste comprises lemon rind, light herbal and mineral qualities, caramel, peach, yeast esters. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. On saison, light hop presence but a little sweet overall and not quite delivering the crisp finish I crave from the style.
