From tap at BPBW '19, Friday session. Huge sweet kick both in body and taste with notes of vanilla, walnut, dried fruits and warming booze. Tasty.

Bottle. A- Cherry, oak, faint brown sugar, malt, cognac. A- Dark brown color, dark liquid, minimal brown head. T- Faint grape, cherry, oak, brown sugar, raisins, faint smoke. P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, smooth finish. O- About 4 years old and said that it could hold on for another 6 years. I think the smoke has dissipated which is a bit sad but still solid. Balanced throughout. Not sure what kind of barrel is used but I got a bit of a cognac flavor. Nice stuff.

Bottle at Ratebeer tasting at Daves, Unterhaching, München, Friday 4th February 2022. Pours hazy light/mid gold with a white head, super soft, a late, light bitterness but not too much, dry finish, good.

Bottle. Color: Very dark ruby, very thin beige head. Aroma: Sweetish, dark fruit, raisins, caramel, boozy. Taste: Over medium sweet, dark sweetish fruit, sweet concentrated white grapes, caramel and toffee, hints of raisins and almonds. Boozy. Hints of smoke. Just a guess, but maybe Cognac, Rum and Bourbon barrels? Full body, sirupy. Just below average carbonation. Long lasting, bit sticky finish. Moderate to over moderate bitterness. Sweet but very nice.

Loads of barrel. Thick, boozy, very heavy, warming. A lot of bourbon present, also some tannins, woody.. wine barrels used in the mix? Just a subtle hint of smoke. Very nice balance, sweet and fruity, some bitterness. Lovely stuff.

15 December 2018. Black Beer Fest, Ieper. Cheers to Anke, Erwin & Ama Deke! Clear dark brown with a lasting, thin, frothy, tan head; little lacing. Aroma of caramel, candied banana & plum, Turkish delight, nutmeg, cookie dough, green tea, brioche, subtle peat. Taste is medium to heavy malty sweet, with prune, plum & candied fruit, quite sugary, Turkish delight & brioche top it off; almost cloying if it wasn't for a medium herbal bitterness that has tea, cookie spices & a smoky touch. Dryish, herbal hoppy finish, lingering candied fruit, peat, warming fruit liqueur alcohol. Medium to full body, syrupy texture, soft carbonation. Massive Barley Wine, indeed only a touch of smoke, very intense in taste but still balanced.

Bottled 330ml. -from Pivoteka Zagreb. Brown coloured, medium sized beige head, spicy and alcoholic nose with whiff of smoke. Toasted malt, light wood and smoke with notes of chocolate, caramel, dried fruits and spices with sweet finish. Bit sweet for my taste but well done.
