For our latest Coffee Porter series we collaborated with HasBean, brewing with coffee from three incredible producers across three different continents. This porter uses Musasa Dukunde Kawa, a washed coffee from Rwanda, in the process. This special roast carries a distinctly creamy and fresh citrus flavour on top of a rich and dark malt base.

Draught at Skaal, Sønderborg. Very good coffee aroma, full, fat and sweet. Almost black colour, seems cloudy. Good creamy light brown head. The flavour is sweetish with a great coffee note. Full-bodied and full-flavoured. Great.

Draught @ SKAAL Sønderborg. Pourd cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt and coffee, with touches of yeast and hints of vanilla. Bitter, roasty flavour with notes of coffee and touches of malt and yeast and hints of liquorice. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with estery touches. Watming alcohol presence. Decent.

Can at home in Hackney - picked up from Clapton Craft. Pours deep brown with a creamy beige head. Medium sweet flavour with light roast, smooth chocolate, milky coffee, raisins. Medium to full bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming finish, smooth coffee, dark fruits. Great depth, high drinkability.

Can. Near enough an opaque brown beer, small pale tan head. Smooth palate, quite light and has a mild dryness. Decent fine nibbly carbonation. Smooth malt base has a modest creamy sweetness and possibly delivers a little darkish chocolate, but that could be the coffee. As per with these BBN coffee beers, the star of the show comes through loud and clear. Smooth espresso intensity that never gets bitter, some mellow ripe fruity coffee underneath, bruised fruits to a degree. Trace of coffee liqueur with a pipette drop of vodka and brandy. Smooth and slightly spicy semi dry finish. Brew By Numbers have been an up and down brewery for me over the years, but they have consistently delivered fine coffee beers and this is no exception.

Taste comprises chocolate, modest spice, toffee, fruit cake, coffee grinds, mellow roast. Medium bodied plus, fine carbonation, light drying close. Decent coffee porter.
