8th July 2017: cask half-pint in the Caley Sample Room, Edinburgh. Golden amber body, decent white crown. Hops rule the roost here, the malt contents tries to balance the brew and almost makes it, fruity and slightly citrusy throughout.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Royal Mile Whiskies, Holborn. Pours mostly clear orange-gold with a frothy, mostly white head. Crackery pale malts in the nose, a little citrus rind, melon, orange. Light to medium sweet flavour with more crackery pale malts, some light piney and rindy bitterness, some nectarine. Light bodied with average carbonation. Alright balance in the finish, with more crackers, pale bread crust, orange rind, a little tangerine. Enjoyable.

Cask @ Smithfield Market Tavern, Manchester. Deep glowing amber with a thick frothy head. Has a sugary-malty-nose with a few fruits here, although the latter is much better stated in its taste, albeit with a grittiness.

Bottle from Good Spirits Glasgow. Clear old gold lasting white head. Its a decent hoppy golden ale. Some light yeast on the aroma. Not hugely hoppy aroma. Pale amlts are there but dont do anything special. Over carbonated. Hops are grassy. Vague bitterness on the finish caompared with the carbonation you would expect more carbonic acid. Its ok. Just a honeyish hoppyish golden ale.

Cask-conditioned at the Beer Emporium, Bristol 12/9/2014. Deep gold, with a slight, off-white, head. Aroma of marmalade and floral hops. Flavour was sweet, with some apricot jam and more orange, before a lingering, bitter, finish. Good.
