hink legendary. This distinct ruby beer’s sweet caramel and fruity aromas tease the taste buds. Brewed with smooth and rich chocolate and crystal malts and a blend of Fuggles and Styrian Golding hops. Expect a delicious full-bodied toffee flavour and a fruity finish of figs, raisins and dates. Drink legendary.

Cask at the Fox & Hounds, Sloane Square on 31st October 2018. Dark copper with virtually no head or lace. Sweet, pungent malty aroma. Sweet and malty in+mouth and a finish of malts, spices and a few berry fruits. Light bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

Cask in the hotel bar Actually a pleasant ale, not sure it's because I spent all day in a workshop, but I truly enjoyed it.

Copper-coloured ale with a decent off-white head. Aroma: spicy, grassy, floral. Additional biscuit and caramel. Light to medium body. Taste: moderate malts initially. After that pronounced Brithish hops rule. Grassy, spicy medium bittee ending. Very convincing as a bitter.

On tap @Medina Škrinja, Varaždin. Deep ruby pour, one finger off-white head. Soapy, medium retention. Thick lacing on the glass. Nose subtly herbal, heavily malty, lots of caramel notes. Medium body, medium carbonation. Texture is a bit on the watery side. Quite sweet taste, not cloying, tho. Nicely balanced. Aroma heavy on the malt, lots of caramel and toffee, bready notes, brown sugar. Herbal aftertaste. A bit sticky. Mild hop bitterness towards the finish. Overall, well executed bitter. A bit on the sweet side but still quite nice.

Pours ruby colored from the can. The creamy head soon fades to a thin and whispy layer. Aroma is roasted caramel malt, toffee, hints of chocolate. Nice. Taste is midly bitter with increasing sourness going into the finish. Leaves behind a menthol cough drop aftertaste. Body is thin but not watery. I would hesitate to call it refreshing however.
