This Pruim features the Mirabelle, sourced at Hoenshof in Limburg.
We macerated the entire plums for almost five months with two young lambikken from three different barrels. We blended with some more young lambik right before bottling. The final fruit intensity is 518 grams of Mirabelle plums per litre of Pruim. 100% 3 Fonteinen.

Bottle sample at a Yana's tasting at Sahar's place. 21-22 bottle. Clear golden. Barnyard, fruitiness, oak, sour, dry, unripe stone fruits, a bit of bitterness. Great.

Golden colour, hazy to cloudy, almost no head. The aroma is interesting: stone fruit, rubber, light sulfur, light cheese. Aggressively sour, fruit forward too, very astringent; the flavour is to aggressive.

750ml @ Matt's new place. Appearance: cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma: very nice funk and minerals, some fruity notes. Taste: along the same lines, a bit acidic. Overall: good one.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dull orange with a small white head. Aroma is full of juicy plums, light-moderate funk, some petrol, and gentle acidity. Flavour is very juicy, with big juicy plums, moderate acidity, a lacto-y character, and a touch of funk. Juicy, lightly funky finish. Very nice.

Somewhat murky oxidized peach colour. Not much head. Big leathery funk on the nose, with just a touch of stone fruit. Off-dry, the fruit lending some sweetness to the bretty, earthy, leathery character. Might be a bit austere, but tons of complexity.

Bottle. Hazy gold with a bit reddish orange. Smell is acidic fart and moppy wet vomit. Taste is strong front loaded mirabelle jam and juice on butter toast - and then there is schnaps at the end. Could be better balanced. But it is interesting.

Bottle at Christmas Tasting. Lightly hazy amber, small head. Slightly funky sour nose, a bit of fruit that's hard to place (yeah I know it's Mirabelles but still). Lots of aromatic flowery stuff going on in the nose. The flavor is big sour, a tiny bit of rubberiness, tasty but not so much plum flavor but the character is more like a Mirabelle schnapps. Complex wild yeast goodness for sure.

Bottle. Light hazy deep golden, low offwhite foam. Horseblanket, porridge/toast, mirabelle marmelade, medium body, restrained tartness, mirabelle preserve, leather, lightly moppy. I feel the flavors are fighting each other a little bit.

Bottle, huge thanks SinH4 for sharing! Hazy golden body. Lovely fresh aroma, minerally, funky, definitely some sweet plums in the background, touch of wood maybe. Sweetish taste, light light plummy touches, prunes as well, tart mostly, going sour, quite minerally, more than funky. The plums come out more and more, likable mirabelle plum presence, just subdued.

Bottle. Unclear golden color with white head. Aroma is very nice mirabelle indeed, so well-integrated, fruity, some funk, superb aroma. Taste is mirabelle, minerals, super-nicely balanced, mild leather, cleanly. Oily mouthfeel with a slight mineraly bite, almost flat. Amazing one, like most of the Pruims I've had.
