Bottle thanks to BillyT. It pours darkest brown to black with a small light tan head. The aroma is darkest brown to black with a small light tan head. The aroma is sweet, sticky, oily, toffee, toothy, vanilla fudge, damp oak, bourbon soaked oak, earth and fruit cake. The taste is slick, oily, sticky, toffee, fudge, vanilla, warming alcohol, chewy, raisin, sultana, earthy, dried fruits, fruit cake, spice, leather, dirt and coffee cake and toothy action through the finish. Fulsome body and moderate carbonation. Fun stuff.

Bottle at home. Deep brown with beige head. Loaded with bourbon, brown sugar, dates. Weirdly a touch of chlorine (think indoor swimming pool). Raisins, some mint. A bit incoherent, yet very tasty.

Pours dark brown. No real head. Scent is intense, chocolate, raisins, dades, more sweet and dense than the average BW. Taste is full, sweet, tad roasty, chocolate, mild booze. Caramel, bourbon, Barrel. Very balanced and awesome BW.

bomber bottle. 2021 edition. Pours a blackish-brown color with a small beige head that soon dissipates to a fine film. Aroma of sweet booze, raisins and caramel. The taste features complex toffees, brown sugar, caramel and whiskey. The palate is full and smooth with soft carbonation. Overall, top shelf stuff.

Draft at Homestead. Dark brown, thin ring of head. Boozy, malty aroma, brown sugar. Taste is sweet, luxurious. Rolls across the palate, velvety. This is a near perfect Barleywine. Boozy, sugary, sumptuous. Wow!
