Pours rather unclear brown, small white head. Scent is sweet, intense but balanced barrel aspects. Taste is intense, full, tad tart, darker malts. Barrel sweetness and aroma, mild apples. Full flavored. medium body and low carbo. Bit boozy, but not botheringly so.

Draft tasting glass @ Foeders. Dark red brown little in the way of head, only some non-lingering bubbles. Nose is thick Sherry cooked pear, sugar, sweet cough syrup, thick dark fruit syrup. Taste is thick dark fruits, syrup, sugar, sweet pear, sugar, cough syrup, cooked pear, heavy Sherry, little in the way of carbonation which is a small flaw but overall pleasant cooked dark fruit Sherry affair.

6 December 2018. At Dok Brewing Company. Shared with Anke. Pours hazy dark brown with a lasting, thin, off-white head; little lacing. Strong aroma of sherry, oak, vanilla, plum, Poire Williams perhaps, redcurrant, cherry, caramel, fruit liqueur. Taste is medium fruity sweet, very ripe banana, plum & pear; light to medium herbal bitterness brings a note of grape, wood, a bit spicy and with the alcohol popping up rendering it somewhat phenolic, medicinal & vaguely peated; sourish lemony edge is apparent too. Dryish, herbal & earthy hoppy finish, lingering ripe fruit, wood, warming sherry alcohol. Medium body, oily, bit syrupy texture, soft to flat carbonation. Very rich, velvety stuff; would not mind having a bottle of this...
