Blackcurrant belongs amongst our most favourite fruits to use in a sour beer. Its intense sour and fruity character is a perfect match for the lactic sourness of our kettle sour. The sourness of this one might make you cringe your teeth a bit, but the flavour is totally worth it.

Can, 5.1%. Good citric blackcurrant aroma. Almost clear deep red colour. Good stable pink head. The flavour is quite citric with a distinct blackcurrant note. Fairly dry.

Pours a dark pinkred. Small to medium pinkwhite head. Scent is earthy fruits. Taste is sharp, tart (lactic) , blackcurrent is very clear. No real complexity or surprising elements though. Bit boring, straight forward .

On tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Brussels, Sunday 2nd October 2022 in the company of Lynn and Barry. Pours light pinkish red with a pinkish head, nice fruitiness, lots of berries, zappy and tart. Great.

Good, if shortlived flamingo head, over opaque purple-cardinal beer. Blackcurrant a mile out and indeed, they did not skimp on the fruit. Fruity as few, inviting; Sour, again obviously blackcurrant; feels a bit thinned, but more from the fruitjuice than from the beer. Light body, fruitslick, better carbonated than it looks. Nice! Fruitexplosion, though one could call it a bit unidimensional.

Can @ Patricks. Unclear red body under a thin pink head. Aroma has blackcurrant and some acidity. Taste is fruity with blackcurrant, minerals, some acidity and way too much yoghurt. Medium body and same aftertaste. Kinda refreshing, fruity beer, but too one dimensional and too much yoghurt for my likings.
