Smaakbeschrijving
So, let’s blame the monks!

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ van Rooij, Culemborg. Hazy light golden with a white head. Grapes and citrus in the aroma, indeed like a hopped bubbly white wine. Taste is medium bitter with a dry finish. It reminded me heavily of the Duvel tripel hop albeit a bit thinner. Nice one.

Tasting glass @ Proeflokaal Arendsnest. Clear golden, soapy white head. Nose is very BE, hand soap, bit watery, weak,.. Taste is soap BE, Brut IPA ?? more sweet grainy, white grape, dash candy, BE, faint esters,… BE styled IPA by accident, dunno?

On tap at Jopen, brewpub, Haarlem, Netherlands on the industrial estate to the east of town. Had this Friday 28th September 2018. Hazy lemony light gold with a white head. Nice fresh nose, lightly citric aroma. In the mouth it has a light bitter buzz that goes on for some time, dry lengthy finish, good simple Brut IPA. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

33cl Bottle from Jopen Proeflokaal. Just slightly hazy golden colour, white head. Aroma of dry white wine, some lime, very Duvel-ish, light spicy, light grassy hop. Flavour is surprisingly Belgian, yeasty, malty, spicy, later on more hoppy, lots of grapes, dry white wine, some lemon, bitter finish. Nice Belgian ale with more hops, really much like a Duvel.
