Bottle - Dark sweet sugary cocoa and roasty malts. Nice chocolate and complex notes. Jet brown with a decent brown head. The light roast, cocoa and jaggery sugars show up nicely. Well done.

Bottle shared at the big Dave tasting at craft beer Co Islington. Many thanks to Daniel for this one. Really dark mahogany brown coloured pour with a halo of dark tan head. Aroma is salty beef, oxo, dark caramel, smokey. Flavour is composed of sweet caramel, vanilla, oak, sweet unrefined sugars, sticky. Cakey. Smores. palate is medium full, sticky, salty. Good.

375mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is intense, with loads of dates, oak, brown sugar and vanilla beans. Flavour is wonderfully complex, with loads of dates upfront, followed by brown sugar and oak. This is a date bomb. Super heavy, oily palate without being brutal at all. Excellent.

Bottle at Craft Islington, thanks to Dirty D. It pours black with a small tan head. The aroma is soft, sweet, juicy, plenty of dried fruits, Eccles Cake, fruit pie, blueberry, date and treacle. The taste is smooth, rich, hard roast. toasted action, slightly salty, cocoa, dried fruits, plum, dull vanilla and alcohol boost through the finish. Medium - full body and fine carbonation. Rich, filthy and fruity. Nice!
