Taster at KEG. Jet black pour with an offwhite head. Nose is intense chocolate, molasses, lots of bourbon, loads of vanilla, pralinee, light coffee. Taste is a lovely sea of chocolate with lots of vanilla and bourbon again, also some notes of wood, spices, coffee and nuts. Nothing new here but the balance is so outstanding that it blew my mind really. Very much my cup of tea.

Sheltie at Royal. Coolness. Pours inky black, small beige head, decent lacing. Aroma is roasty, leather, tobacco, bakers chocolate, bourbon. Flavor is medium sweet, medium plus bitter. Full body, silky mouthfeel.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a dark brown foamy head with some retention and some light lacing notes. Aroma of black chocolate notes with some vanilla and bourbon notes. Taste is also a mix of black chocolate notes with some vanilla and bourbon notes with some residual sugar notes. Body is above average with creamy texture and good carbonation with some alcohol notes discernible. Enjoyable BA stout with nice balance.

Vanille et biscuits au chocolat enrobés de Bourbon nous introduisent un olfactif sucré / malté où s’ajoutent des notes de mélasse et quelques houblons terreux. Une petite mousse assez dense recouvre le liquide noir et parfaitement opaque. Chocolatée, biscuitée et chaleureuse en bouche elle met en évidence un ensemble bien vanillé, épicé par ses notes de poivre et son Bourbon affirmé. D’infimes notes de caramel se marient à des accents de mélasse et à des esters de pruneaux. La finale aux houblons épicés nous présente une légère amertume de torréfaction. Vanilla and chocolate biscuits coated in Bourbon introduce us to a sweet / malty olfactory where notes of molasses and some earthy hops are added. A small, fairly dense foam covers the black and perfectly opaque liquid. Chocolatey, biscuity and warm on the palate, it highlights a very vanilla ensemble, spiced by notes of pepper and its assertive Bourbon. Tiny notes of caramel are combined with molasses accents and prune esters. The finish with spicy hops presents a slight bitterness of roasting. The flavor balance is perfect in this high-caliber Stout. Very much enjoyed.

200ml shared with Ryan. Appearance: almost black. Aroma: lots of barrel and vanilla. Taste: along the same lines, moderately sweet, nice body. Overall: good one.

Poured from the tap. Near black with small beige head. Very nice vanilla and bourbon, quite enjoyable.

On tap at Mikkeller CPH Airport, pours jet black with a small brown head. Aroma is absurdly rich and decadent, with intense vanilla beans upfront, plenty of bourbon barrel character, and dark sugars. Flavour is absurdly rich and complex, with massive vanilla bean notes upfront, accentuated by the bourbon barrels, and backed by a powerful roasted malt base with plenty of dark sugars. Beauty. Nice to be able to try this after the demise of the great Mikkeller SD.
