Can from De Baron Van Wolvega. Nice peaty aroma with tar, smoke, roasted malt, dark chocolate, iodine, some coffee and liquorice. Flavour is sweet with a peaty and somewhat boozy finish. Roast and bitterness. Body is medium to full. Could be a bit thicker, but the aroma checks out.

Draft at Foeders. Black. Sweet chocolate, a bit of smoke, coffee, marzipan, soft peat smoke, ash, brown sugar. Quite sweet, medium bitter. Lovely, and not very smokey at all.

Pours like, ehm, motor oil, with a brown that that doesn't last very long. Aroma's: sweet, black treacle, peat, iodine. Retronasal it's sweetish, whisky, boozy, woody, peat. Flavour is above moderate sweet with some roasty bitterness and balancing the peat in a great way. Alcohol is quite hot. Full bodied, velvetty mouthfeel. Long finish

Can. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Roasted malt, peat, coffee and boozy hints. Taste: Roasted malt, some vanilla, mocha, coffee and almond. Sweetish. Boozy. Quite strong peat. Salty smoked fish notes. Oily, dense mouthfeel. Over moderate to medium sweet, moderate bitterness. Bit sticky. Well balanced and nice complexity. Full body, below average carbonation. Very nice.

44 cl can @ home. Canned ??.2021, BBE ??/2023. Thanks olio! Aroma has nice peaty tones. Also alcohol and hints of licorice. Flavour has strong peaty notes, licorice and mild ash. Herbal finish with some licorice. Warming alcohol is present. Somewhat stuffy, drinkability suffers.

Op tap bij The Scrapyard. Zwarte kleur, beige-bruine kraag. Turf, zoethout, rook, gebrande mout, koffie, chocolade, hout, vanille, caramel, licht zilt, whisky, bitterzoete finish. Volle body, glad mondgevoel, rijk, top.
