Bronze colour. Fruity, malty aroma has some apple and caramel. Big, firm, toasty maltiness in the body, without much fruitiness thankfully. Interesting. It’s a strange sort of malt character that I haven’t really found in this precise proportion before. Not that this makes it great, just interesting.

At 5.6 abv, 13° and not explicitly called pilsissimus. Hazy amber. Aroma is basic malt with some grain and cornflakes powdered sugar grass and a whiff of apricot. Taste is rich malty sweetness and some hoppy grassy bite. Pretty chewy and light mealy texture. Drinkable and full bodied. Not bad.

At the brewery. Grassy flavor. Creamy smooth. Very sweet. Chewy. Need 10 more digits.

24/9/2019. Draft at the Brauhaus Forschungsbrauerei, Munuch. Pours pale gold with a nice size foamy white head. Aroma of sweet malt, citrus, sweet fruits, hops, malt and flowers. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation. Nice sweetness to finish. Best of the 4 that I had here tonight.

LCRBM2: aroma has milk, citrus and hops. Soapy, milky, malty, slightly hoppy flavor. Boiled milk in the aftertaste. Tasty but a bit disappointing.

Bottle, bought at the brewery. Light gold cloudy, little head to speak of. Light grainy aroma. Taste is not so inspiring, but clean and well balanced with spicy hop notes on the finish. A bit bready, and bit low carbonation. 3 months before expiration... Not the same bottled as on tap, if I read other reviews. P.s. no longer labeled as pilsissimus only Exportbier Hell. Re-Rate on tap at the brewery 1-Sep-21 (was 2.7 before), amazing smooth balanced hoppy masterpiece of a Helles!

Vom Faß in der Forschung in Perlach als “Helles“ bzw. “Export“. - Satt, fast sämig hellmalzig, sehr malztief, honigartige Restsüße und fein hopfenwürzige Herbe in perfekter Harmonie. Wenig rezent, aromatisch restsüß, frisch kräuterig gehopft. - Ganz ausgezeichnetes Export, fast bockbierartig malztief, dazu frisch und aromatisch gehopft. Ein Bier der Extraklasse.
