Dukus Bear, a melting pot of cacao, vanilla, coffee, and cardamom. Cocoa husks give a clean chocolate flavor, and a cold brew adds roasty coffee notes. Cardamom contributes the exotic spicy punch which the vanilla blends in a smooth and warming brew.

Trop d'imperfections.

Dark brown colour, brown foam. Almost no nose, some roasted malts and spices. Very messy beer. Watery, too much carbonation, burning spices. not my cup of tea. Drain pour.

22 July 2018. Gentse Feesten @ Brouwbar! Shared with Anke.
Pours cloudy black with a lasting, thin, beige head; little lacing. Intense aroma of espresso, coffee & cream, fondant, praliné, salted peanut, milk chocolate, vanilla, roasted malt, coffee liqueur, sweet tobacco & spices. It tastes medium malty sweet, hints of cream & subtle vanilla, and light roasted bitter, fondant & coffee, a bit spicy (Dr. Cardemom, I presume?), already warming in alcohol. Dryish, toasty, peppery hoppy finish, lingering malt & vanilla, warming coffee liqueur alcohol. Full body, oily texture, soft to fizzy carbonation. Quite my style, balanced but buoyant.

Sampled @ Tilburg Bierfestival 2018. Opaque pitch black color, medium sized light brown colored head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, liquorice, laurel, some herbs or spices. Taste malts, again laurel, liquorice and herbs / spices, maybe something salty. Think the base is quite good but the laurel and liquorice is over the top. Too much for my liking anyway.

05/05/2018 @home - 33cl bottle from a trade with tderouck. Black colour with medium tanned head. Nose is coffee, lots of spices, bit chocolate, alcohol. Taste start roasted, coffee, some caramel, bit vanilla, heavy spiced, malty ending with some alcohol. Could seem unbalanced because of the outspoken spice character but it didn't bother me, I even seemed to like it.

Pours black medium sized tanned head. Smell is mild coffee, not very intense. Taste is tad bitter, coffee, sharp, bit metallic. Very roasty, tad unbalanced. Mild stickyness ( too much roasted malts ) . Tad thin, high carbo. Meh...

Black with thin lacy head. Aroma is very intense with strong coffee. Flavour has a great mix of cacao and coffee and dark roasty malt notes in the finish. Smooth and full bodied.
