Bottle. Pale amber color. Sherry and raisin in the aroma. Malty sweetish, oaky flavor with raisin. Dryish finish, slightly herbal. There is some complexity in this beer.

11th June 2018; Shrewsbury Beer Exchange Group monthly meeting in Chez Sophie. One of only 890 x 33cl bottles, cheers Mat for this offering. Slight haze to the golden pour, weak, wispy topping. Boozy feel to the whole brew, malt forward with a good mixture of other flavours and aromas. Yeast, fruits, spices and wine notes all added to the complex and interesting taste and nose. Liked it.

Hazy, amber colored, some floaters and sediment, small non lasting off white frothy head. Aroma is of malt, some aged caramel notes, dried fruit, wine barrel, bit alcohol, some spicy notes, bit yeast. Taste is medium to very sweet malt, caramel, dried fruity, bit sherry, wine, woody barrel, bit spicy yeast, moderate alcohol and warmth, sweetish finish. Medium+ bodied, soft to flat carbonation, oily to sticky. (bottle)

330ml bottle @ monthly tasting, Chez Sophie, June 18, courtesy of myself. Pours gold with a light mist, taste has a gentle olorosso influence, a touch boozy, not too much, some ripened fruits, drying close, not really coming across so much as a saison though, and lacking a degree of complexity. Nice, but expected more.

bought at Alvinne. Pours warm, mildly unclear darker blonde to amber. Medium-big to big white head, medium stability, very creamy look of texture. minor lacing. Smell is thcik, tad honey-like, some oak notes, bit dry, white wine aspects but more concentrated, yet not really instantly recognizable as sherry. Taste is tad sweet, minor bitterness. Alcoholic, to a point it turns clinical. Phenolic, but not fresh and peppery such as a saison should have, but more of an almost band-aid like intensity which isn't very enjoyable, and pairs together witht he clinical alcohol level. Thick body, medium carbo. Overall, the beer is still in the drinkable zone. I feel like it could benefit from less alcohol, and perhaps lower fermentation temperatures.

Hazy deepish gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Quite a few lumps in the bottle, requires very careful pouring. Smooth and fairly dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Smooth dry malts, some light creamy sweetness. Touch of dry wood. Tangy sherry and ripe fruits. Mild bitterness. Light and fairly dry finish. Decent but lacks some luxuriousness that could have taken this to another level. Trace of esters.

Draft @ NaparBCN, Barcelona.
