16 ounce can. Opaque black pour. Luxurious creamy tan head. Roasted malt nose hints at dark coffee. Soft palate yields notes of roasty malt and coffee. A touch of warm cocoa, but barely a hint of maple syrup. A bit thin bodied for a stout. More like a Coffee Porter.

On nitro at Positive Pie. Pours black with small tan head leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is strong roast, cocoa, maple. Slick body, roasted malt, cocoa, light maple, dry finish, good.

From my brother: pours black with a beige head. Aroma is some light maple notes, some chocolate and coffee. Taste is roasty and a bit sweet. Very easy to drink. Pleasant.

Pours nearly black, Just a copperred glow going on in there. Smell is weak. Bit roasty. Mild sweetness, but not clearly maple. Taste is nicely roasty, but truth be told, it sounded a lot better from the description. There is no real maple in here, unless you’re a fine taster. if the beer is named maple though, I expect loads of it. It’s nice stout nevertheless, but perhaps my expectations were a bit high.

Can from a trip to Vermont. Dark brown colour with a little ruby highlights. Creamy-frothy beige head with some nice retention and great creamy lacing. Licorice aromas blended with the roasted malts and some hints of dark fruits, molasses. The taste has the roasted malts again, with... well, not much more. The burnt notes that lingers. If maple in here, it is too blended, making it hard to find. Very weak hints of sweetness, somewhere. Maybe. Not sure if just too old. Under can, written 02/01/17 TAP THIS.

Keg at Citizen Cider, Burlington. Dark brown, small head. Light coffee aroma with some caramel and maple syrup. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Some nice character coming from caramel and maple syrup, but the lack of malt softness prevents the flavours from coming out. Mid bitter finish.

Keg at the Reservoir - Waterbury, VT. Pours deep brown with a tan cream head. The nose holds light toast, burnt nuts. Moderately sweet with decent roasty malt character, some earthy bitterness. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Finishes with earthy bitterness, light cocoa. Good stuff overall.
