375 ml bottle from Systembolaget. Pitch black with small, brownish/tan head. Smells of dark chocolate, coffee, chili and some booze. Flavour is sweet with similar notes (also soy sauce) and some bitternes. Very tasty! Medium to full mouthfeel with very little carbonation and a long finish with chili. Very good overall.

375ml bottle, 1399 of 3300. Pours pitch black with no head. Loads of legs. Aroma is malty chocolate and some spicy fruit, which I’m guessing us the chilli. Bourneville and chilli. Taste is spicy chocolate to start and cocoa chilli next. Warmth on the finish from both the chilli and alcohol. Loads of booze.

Bottle 37,5 cl. Pours black as original Sin with a creamy brownish head. Intense, sweet and fairly complex aroma of hard roasted malt, plenty of raisins, some coffee notes and a light tartness. Very full-bodied, low carbonation but far from flat, again flavours of hard roasted malts, coffee notes and dark dried fruits while the chilies only leave a light prickly sensation on my tongue. Some warming alcohol heat in the finish. A bit of a monster really, but a nice monster! Actually surprisingly subtle and well balanced for a beer this strong. 101110

Tap at the White Horse. Outstanding. Dark brown pour with a light, beige head. Holds a strong malt nose with some ripe fruit, alcohol and chocolate. Very sweet, with plenty of booze and dominant dark malts, then some roasty bitterness. Medium to full in body with loads of warmth and fine carbonation. Finishes fairly sweet with plenty of sugar and more roasty dryness. The chilies affect more in feel than flavor it seems, providing a hint of tingle in the aftertaste. Just fantastic overall. Supremely drinkable. (4.7)

Bottle at the White Horse. Opaque, dark brown pour. Strong aroma with dark malts, coffee beans, and dark cocoa. Mild alcohol and ripe, dark fruits. Flavor is divine. Very sweet but not cloying. Loads of dark chocolate syrup, plenty of roast, wood, and bark, along with light chili spice. Some dry roastiness. Full bodied with effervescent carbonation and plenty of warmth. I can feel this beer journey from my mouth to my esophagus to my gut. It feels good in my gut. The finish ends the experience wonderfully: sweet, with spices, chocolate, alcohol, bitter coffee and some overripe, dark fruits. Superb on all fronts. It would be very hard to make this beer any better. (4.9)

Had this courtesy of Craig, cheers mate. Pours black, leaving an oil slick down the glass. This is really, really smooth in the mouth. Orange and chilli flavours combine. There is some warmth from the alcohol but I’m getting Terry’s chocolate orange flavour above anything else, however I do get some coffee, but the chilli I’m not sure whether I’m imagining it.Very good.
