This is a variation on the classic Belgian Witbier style, but aged in French Oak Chardonnay barrels.
Brewed with lemon peel, black peppercorns and coriander.
Triple fermented - first in the tank with Belgian yeast, second in french oak Chardonnay barrels with brettanomyces, and finally in the bottle with a third yeast for natural carbonation.

750 ml bottle, as Anchorage Whiteout Wit Bier With Brett, soon available at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 6.5%, 20 IBU. Extremely pale yellow colour, moderately hazy. Moderate white head. Aroma of citrus / lemons, lemongrass, coriander, black pepper and dill. The flavour has the same elements as the aroma, medium dry, refreshing. Only a hint of brett and white wine.

The Sampler, Brooklyn bottle: pours hazy wellow with a white head. The brett is subtle in the aroma and in the taste, at least as compared to many other brett beers. Aroma is spices, coriander especially, light lemony citrus, and tree. Taste is lightly bitter with all them apicy notes. Some light pepper and low sweetness. Pretty good. Subtle. To the uninitiated, I am tempted to say they would be hard-pressed to see how different this actually is.

Bottle 2014: Poured hazy yellow bubble head. Aroma is really funky eggs sulfur. Taste nice tart, chardonnay and wood with lemony zest.

750 ml bottle poured into a Spiegelau tulip. Batch 3, June 2014. Clear straw yellow with about a finger of off-white head. Aromas of funk, citrus, herbs, some white wine, a bit of Brett. Tastes of citrus, funk, light wheat, white wine, light tart acidic notes, subtle herbs. Medium-light body with a dry finish. Nicely balanced and well done.

Hazy straw colour. No head. Aroma has brett, coriander, and sort of wheaty character. A slight tartness, but more crisp brett and fresh wheaty malt notes. The chard barrel lends a snappy quality to the finish.

Bottle. A- Sour, tart, lemons, citrus, vinegar. A- Pale yellow color, clear liquid, white head. T- Sour, tart, sweet, citrus, vinegar. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, sour finish. O- Prior to this I had the Galaxy White IPA. After this I am now convinced I do not like Anchorage. White IPAs and Witbiers are two of my favorite styles. Throw in this Brett shit and charge me an outrageous price for the bottle and I am not pleased. To me, the Galaxy and Whiteout tasted the same. Two different styles and both tasted like the same thing. A not so good sour. Big let down.
