12 oz bottle into English pint. My bottle reads 6.5% ABV. Pours a deep beautiful slightly hazy amber with a small collapsing beige head. Aroma is caramel, biscuity, a bit grainy, a bit hoppy. Taste is sweet, salty, then bitter in the finish. Nice toasty, biscuity flavor. Highly carbonated with a medium body; sticky texture. This has got to be the best amber I’ve ever had. That’s saying a lot since I don’t care for this style too much.

On tap at Blue Palms. Pours with a clear deep amber body with a large and lasting off-white head. Aromas are hoppy and fruity with citrus, tangerines, ruby-red grapefruit and sweet caramel. Flavors are a bit soapy, fruit tea, strawberry and caramel. Creamy carbonation. Surprisingly tasty.

12 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a slightly hazy red color with a medium tan head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of leafy hops and a bit of toffee. The taste is bitter leafy and citrus hops, and some faint nutty and berry notes. Medium bodied. Decent.

Yeasty toast and grain nose. Opaque brown full of floaties, medium yellow head. Yeast dominates the flavor of lightly tart roasted malt. Muddy and dirty, not pleasant. If this is supposed to be unfiltered, the brewer might want to consider filtering. If it is supposed to be filtered, someone screwed up.

Sunset Cantina 12ounce bottle ($5): Cloudy red/brown colour with a white head that leaves lacing. Aroma of hops ans small amounts of fruitiness. Citrusy front, intermediate amount of hops. Some toffee taste. A good amber ale that manages to be good without overhopping (like Troegs Hopback or Green Flash Hophead Red)... more like Speakeasy Prohibition ale.

(Bottle, Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 16 March 2010) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, fruity nose with caramel, red berries and citrussy hops. Malty, slightly toasty taste with notes of caramel, red fruit and spicy hops in a bittersweet finish. More than medium body, some malt sweetness. Well balanced and tasty beer. Nice one.

Appearance: This one pours a murky caramel-brown with a fizzy tan head
Flavor: The taste is sweet early on, and then flows into a hoppy/bitter finish
Palate: Somewhat lengthy finish, average carbonation, and a light-medium body
Overall Impression: Overall, this is a pretty decent Amber, a nicely balanced and lengthy flavor with a nice mix of malts and hops. Together they make for a very solid brew that is very drinkable, and pretty enjoyable as well. A nice example of the Amber Ale style.

12 fl oz bottle. Pours hazy dark amber with a small, tan and creamy dense head. Aroma is dry malty and light roasted. Roasted breadish to light caramelish malt flavoured. Bitter and slight fruity flavoured hops finish.
