Imperial Stout with Mint and Cacao Nibs

Share This is a series of beers that spotlights unique ingredients and important causes. This decadent imperial stout is inspired by mint chip flavors, recreated by adding spearmint leaves and cacao nibs to a rich base featuring chocolaty notes of its own. Share This: Mint Chip pairs perfectly with supporting Food Forward, who is chipping away at hunger relief across Southern California, reaching over 100,000 people a month with recovered fresh foods.

For every bottle produced, we donate $1 to support Food Forward®, which donates fresh produce to hunger relief agencies across Southern California.

Dark brown w no head. Has a bit of a harsh nose, liquorice, maybe chocolate. Sweet, quite a bit of bitterness and harsh husky malt character. Touch of mint. Pretty boozy.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours black with a small beige head. Aroma brings out a wonderful mint and chocolate chip character, and light vanilla. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of mint chocolate dominating. Fairly boozy and toasty bitter finish. I usually can't stand mint chocolate, but this works really well.

Taster at Alibi Room during The Bruery tap takeover. Pours a very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma is mint and some roasted malt. Taste is moderately sweet with mint chocolate notes. Quite good for the mint lovers.

7 3 7 3 13Draft at Stone World Bistro and Gardens, Berlin. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of huge mint, chocolate, herbs and roast. It like drinking a stout after cleaning my teeth. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation.

After Eight ganz sicher ihren Spaß haben. Doch das hilft alles nichts - hier bleibe ich in Zukunft fern. Ein neues Bier bitte!
