24/08/2017 - draught @Prehistohan. Clear blonde with creamy white head. Nose is malts, some fruits, yeast, light bitter. Taste is thin, malts, some yeast, soft bitter touch. Smell was promising more than the taste revealed.

25 cl. bottle as Du Bocq Blonde de Han @ a café in Han sur Lesse. Slightly hazy golden. White head. Grainy aroma. Unremarkable in every way. More a lager than a blonde.

3/XII/13 - 25cl bottle from De Zytholoog / Bierloods (Maldegem) @ home - BB: 7/I/13 (2013-1111)

SLOW GUSHER WARNING!
Clear golden orange beer, aery white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: bit sugary, sweet malts, pretty fruity, peaches, little grassy. MF: ok carbon, medium to light body. Taste: pretty sweet, sugary, almonds, some citrus, little sourish. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, green apple, some citrus, sugary, apple juice. Meh, not great, but I don't think a fresh bottle would've been much better, judging from the other ratings I've just read.

Drank in Jan 2009: This 0.75 litre cork and caged bottle was obtained in the tourist area beside the caves at Hans-sur-Lesse in Namur, Belgium. It is brewed souly for tourist like you and me, the caves bye-the-way are fantastic, as is the train ride to them from the village centre. Anyway, back to the beer: Poured into Kasteel and Leffe chalice glasses it looked like a Duvel without a head of foam. Pale blonde with a white wisp of a covering on top. The aroma was of yeast and not much else. The taste was fairly bland and far too fizzy, a dry aftertaste didn’t help and because it had no body the alcohol took over with the dryness. Not a nasty, but just a tourist brew by a brewery that specialises in such beers. This was the first beer in a Belgian evening I organised and was choosen as the first beer because I knew it would be a thirst quencher and not a sipping beer. I was right.

750 ml bottle bought @ the caves of Han. Golden body with a big white head. Aroma is fruity, yeasty with a mild hint of ester. Flavor is sweet malty, fruity, spicy and have a little hint of cellar notes. It’s a quite light ale with some complexity, not bad at all. Really surprised to find such a decent beer as a tourist souvenir.

@ the caves of Han. Very soft and smooth blond beer, standard Belgian style. Reminded me of Deugniet, although this one seems sweeter to me.
