Draft at Gollem, Antwerp. Near clear golden with a white head. Aroma of herbs, yeast, green weeds and light malt. Flavour is light moderate sweet and above moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

Tap at Moeder Lambic, pours a clear, dark gold with some frothy, rocky, white head. Nose has lemon, orange, soap, savory herbs, potpourri. Flavor has the same with lemon and soap, straw, some distinct grist. Finishes dry, lemony, bitter. Crushable.

Tap at CML . Pours dark , unclear brown . Good white head . Smell is chocolatty , malty sweetness . Taste is light ( surprisingly light ) . Malty sweetness . Bit metallic / hoppy aftertste . ( Very gentle though ) Slightly bitter ( very hidden ) . Easy drinkable thnx to the rather thin mouthfeel and not too much carbonation . Nice , but isnt a porter supposed to be black ???

330 ml. draft @ Chez Moeder Lambiek Fontenais. Dark brown, tanned head. Dark fruits, raisins, liquorish & bay leave nose. Taste is varnish, bitter herbs, bay leaf ,bit empty, sweet, dark fruits raisin. Tad too empty & touch to varnish like. Decent.

Draft @ ML Fontainas. Ambrée tirant sur le brunâtre, col fin blanc-cassé. Arôme est malté au bouquet pâle, caramel, très léger grillé petit rétro houblonné amer noble fruité et herbacé. Note également qcq effluves fruitées rouges. Palais garde un caractère très belge au niveau des malts avec un rappel cara pâle et un houblonné ajoutant une fine note d’amertume avec ici aussi un léger côté épicé. Le fini est sec voire terreux.

Draught Huge, very dense and fine cream to greige head over opaque brown beer, textbook lace. Woody nose, hops, liquorice, cake, hopoils, laurel/bay leaf. Bit of chocolate, dark malts with melanoidins, cark bread; dry bitter herbs retronasal. Medium bodied, slick. Quite good.
