Draught @ Pöhjala, Tallinn. Roasty, dry and sweetish with some bourbon, oak, wood, vanilla, toffee, syrup and hints of coffee notes. Quite sweet and syrupy.

Bottle split at L6, thanks to Kenny, 28/11/18. Pitch black with a well presented tan covering. Nose is dark chocolate, bitter roast, spice, toffee, light charr. Taste comprises fruit cake, light black peppery spice, bourbon licks, toffee fudge, chocolate. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi dyring close with a mellow alcoholic buzz. Decent well rounded impy.

Bottle at home shared with my girlfriend and my brother. Pours pitch black with almost no head. Aroma is classic Imperial stout with lots of bourbon and coffee. An abundance of dark malts with plum, fig and chocolate and coffee aromas. Coffee and bourbon blend beautifully. Big body, thickish mouthfeel. Flavour is complex and layered, amazingly rich and smooth. Loads of bourbon - the BA coffee maybe just makes the aromas and flavours blend. Lot of chocolate and some dark fruit too. Long bourbon and coffee finish, medium dry. Perfect beer.

Bottle. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Roasted coffee, vanilla, boozy. Taste: Over medium sweet, coffee, vanilla notes. Bit boozy. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Moderate to medium bitter. Bitter, earthy, slightly burnt dark coffee finish. Spicy hints, bit warming and sticky mouthfeel. Full body, below average carbonation. Not that complex but just a nice straightforward BA Imperial Stout with some coffee.

Bottle shared at Columbus tasting 28/11/2018. Many thanks! A dark mahogany brown coloured pourw ith a halo of tan head. Aroma is salty roast, praline, sweet cinnamon bun, light cedar wood. Flavour is composed of vanilla. praline, dark chcocolate, praline, hazelnut, praline, light aslty. Palate is semi sweet, sticky, moderate carbaontion. . Light marshmallow. Nice.

Draft at Billie’s Beer Festival ‘18. Black with a ring beige head. Aroma of oak, bourbon, chocolate, vanilla and caramel. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
