Mycket gott

375mL bottle, cork forces out with some serious force upon uncaging, pours a clear golden orange with a medium white head. Aroma brings out a very nice barnyard funk character, with leather and citrus. Flavour is moderately funky, quite puckering and citric -- that citrus character really affects the sides of the mouth, but the beer doesn't drink all that acidically. Citrus, funky, leather finish, with plenty of champagne-like effervescence. Excellent as usual, but perhaps not a top-tier gueuze.

Pours a slightly hazed blonde. Small layer of white head. Scent is mild, some volotile acidic-style aroma's. Mild green apple. Taste is sharp, tart, fairly clean. Mild doughy, barrel funk, bit sharper than usual OB. Remains a bit fruity as well.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy orange golden. White head. Aroma: Moderate tart, fruity, funky. Taste: Moderate tart, barnyard and horseblanket funk, old oak wood, some tannins, old hop, straw hints. Light bitterness, very light sweetness. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Fruity notes of citrus (lemon and hints of orange), gooseberry and grapes. Lightly vinuous. Smooth, fresh and easy drinkable Oude Geuze, very nicely balanced.

0.375 l bottle from 'Etre Gourmet', bottled in November 2021. Slightly hazy, amber with a large, slightly fluffy, slowly diminishing, white head. Slightly sweetish, sourish, very fruity and gently funky aroma of overripe lemon, gooseberry, oak, apple and some horse blanket. Gently sour, very fruity and quite funky taste of overripe lemon, gooseberry, oak, horse blanket, apple, light rhubarb and hints of leather, followed by a short, gently tart, fairly dry, gently woody finish. Medium body, slightly astringent and fairly effervescent mouthfeel, average to lively carbonation. Astonishingly fruity, fresh and lively Gueuze, very good.

Huge off-white head, stable, sustained by lively carbonated old golden beer. Old wood, old barrels, horseblanked, dried preserved (yellow) fruit. Exquisite lambic/farmyard/horseblanket/lemonpeel notes in perfect balance. Bananaleaf, unripe corn, old wet wood. Light acidburn, light body, good carbonation. No better aperitif possible. Top gueuze. Thanks to Stef!
