Peanut butter & sprinkles! That's that 'Dutch kids eat for breakfast' kinda combo. It was the inspiration for this new Barcode, a fairly sweet BA with a luxurious and decadent feel and nice alcohol punch. The base beer is a combination of Can Brûlée and The Bolt & The Beast and blended on Ruhm and Woodford reserve Bourbon barrels. Combined with French Whisky barrels from the Miclo Distillery. In addition we added kilos of peanuts and a lush amount of cacao nibs for that extra layer of yum.

440 ml can. Pours black with short head. Aromas of dry peanuts, dark chocolate, vanilla and roasted malts. Flavors follow same with additional dark sugar, treacle and rich roasted malts. No sense of the ABV in the flavor but quite a warm finish. Super.

440ml can. Pours black with a tan head. Aroma of peanuts, chocolate, caramel, roast malts. Taste is sweet, loads of peanut, chocolate, caramel, vanilla, fudge, raisin/dried fruits, bitter roast, and all the boozy barrelly goodness. Well carbonated.

Can shared by my bro opaque jet black with a decent deep tan head. The aroma is rich and decadent, bitter - sweet, toasty nut, rich roasted malt, milk chocolate, snickers, caramel, peanut brittle, bourbon soaked oak, vanilla and toasted marshmallow. The taste is slick, oily, rich, dark roasted malt, big filthy sweetness, pure decadence, charred oak, milk chocolate, vanilla, toasted marshmallow, rocky road, toasted nut, snickers, peanut butter cups, warming booze, bourbon and toffee crisp with a slick, oily and sweet finish. Full bodied, firm carbonation and thick, chewy mouth feel. A decadent dessert beer.

Canary Wharf bottleshare. Thanks to Colin for the can. Opaque dark brown black beer, small tan head. Smooth palate, semi dry, good fine carbonation. Good rich dark malts, syrupy dark chocolate, boozy chocolate liqueur. Some nuts and ripe bourbon fruits. Spicy finish. Rich and rewarding.

Can 44 cl. Pours an opaque black with no head. Thick and oily. Sweet roast with some Bourbon notes. Rich and OVERLY sweet bodt, almost flat. Plenty of vanilla and brown sugars with a boozy finish. Delicious, but once again Moersleutel has produced a sugar bomb totally devoid of any kind of balance. 070323
