Mit Münchner und Karamellmalz gebraut und bestem Hallertauer Aromahopfen vollendet haben wir unser Basalter Dunkel 2014 erstmals für den Naturpark Nördlicher Oberpfälzer Wald gebraut und mit dem Wahrzeichen unserer Region, dem “Rauhen Kulm” versehen.

500ml bottle bought from the Offie, Leicester and drunk at home. Mid to dark brown, a little translucency, a ring of beige head. Light chocolate malt in the aroma. Sweet taste, a little bit of bitterness, some bready character. More bitterness in the finish. Medium body and carbonation on the low side. Really simple stuff done quite well.

Bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours dark ruby - brown with a thick & lasting off - white head. The aroma is toasty brown bread, malt loaf, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, date, splash of cherry cola, touch of ryvita and some nuttiness. The taste is initially drying, bitter - sweet, toasty, pleasing fruitiness, raisin, sultana, date, jammy berry, malt loaf, toasty fruit cake, touch of umami, liquorice, slightly woody and cacao nibs with a drying, toasty finish. Average body and moderate, fluffy carbonation. Fulsome body, robust and flavourful. Balanced and satisfying.

Clear dark brown colour, beige foam. Bready, roasty, some caramel notes. Easy drinkable.

--Bottled at Teja tasting-- Dark brown, small head. Aroma of toast and chocolate. Mid dry with medium body and rounded mouthfeel. Chocolate and bread. Mildly bitter finish. Drinkable and pleasant.

Püttner Basalter, Flasche von Landbierparadies24. - Tiefdunkles Kastanienbraun, klar. - In der Nase tiefes, verhalten schokoladiges dunkles Malz mit Brotkruste und feiner herbaler Hopfung mit mediterranen Zügen, leichte Anklänge an Torf. - Antrunk tief und vornehm dunkelmalzig mit dunkler Brotkruste, Mokka, sehr dezenter karamelliger Süße und milder herbal-hopfenwürziger Hopfung mit blasser Orange. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang leicht trocken, fein malzbitter und dezent herbal hopfenherb. - Klassisch malztiefes aber nicht fettes, äußerst gediegenes Dunkles. (9.7.2021.)

Bottle. Dark chestnut, offwhite cream. Moppy, light dusty roast aroma, medium body, sweet dark sugar base, caramel, minerals, smoke, caramel, roast. A bit on the sweet side.

Bottle from Hier gibts bier and drunk at home. Clear dark brown colour lasting beige head. Some chocolate a light smoke maybe. Some chocolate some malt . I mean it's good enough. not really my style but it's fine. some bitterness
