Red ale hopped with Centennial and Chinook. Formerly known as Pontoon, this beer was a solid favourite of ours so very happy to see it heading out into the world once more.

Can (from Ales by Mail). Slightly hazy ambery orange colour with a mediumsized foamy beige head, which leaves some lace. Aromai s tropical fruits, caramel, mild toasted tones and some mild berries to it. Flavour is pretty much the same, but also has yeast and some mild lemongrassy tones.

Shared 330 ml can. Clear reddish colour, large off-white head. Aroma of pine and spruce. Refreshing flavour, notes of pine needles, a little citrus and malts, fairly dry.

Great session qualities.

On tap at Hop Stuff Tap room Ashford. Deep clear red brown beer lasting beige head. Some butter on aroma. Some malt some red fruit jam flavour. Yeah not bad. Just a little light maybe. Good otherwise.

Can at Ridings House Café, Marylebone area, Wednesday 26th April 2017. Not sure that I’ve had much if anything from this brewery and whilst this is fine it is a rather lacklustre beer, fine, but lacking a bit, it’s workmanlike, nothing wrong with it at all but if it were a football club it would be Stoke City. Can at home, 23/04/17 - cheers to St George ! Reddish amber with a decent light beige head that retains well. Nose is light orange peel, biscuit, earthy hop notes, light spice, airy malts. Taste comprises light floral bite, tangerine, blood orange, subtle spice, biscuit malt, toasted bread, sweet notes, caramel. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness. Decent lightly hopped easy drinker for the style.

330ml can. Clear, dark amber colour with small, forthy, diminishing, minimally lacing, off-white head. Fruity, hoppy aroma, hints of orange, mandarine, strawberry, red berries in general, mellow malty basis. Taste is slightly sweet caramel malty, minimally nuttily, a touch of peanut pellicle, fruity hoppy hints of strawberry. OK, but nothing the world hasn’t seen yet.

Can picked up at Eustonian Taperia. Western Lodge. It pours reddish - brown with a small off-white head. The aroma is soft, sweet malty action, fruit cake, brown bread, dried berry, cola cubes and pink marshmallow. The taste is bitter - sweet, wood, toasty brown bread, dried fruits, fruit cake, cola and caramel with a sweetish finish. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Perhaps a touch sweet. OK stuff, bit it won’t set your world on fire.

Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours lightly hazy copper-gold with a tight, creamy off-white head. The aroma holds lightly toasted bread, pine, ripening citrus, orange rind. Light sweet flavour with pleasant wholegrain toast, mellow piney bitterness, faint earth, brown bread. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Good balance in the finish, with subtle piney resin, more toasty-grainy bread, some citrus fruits, mild rindy bitterness. Cohesive and very drinkable.
