33cl can, BB 24/04/2025.

Can from Stacks.
A: hazy black, stable, frothy, beige head.
A: coffee pad & bean, old fondant, toast, vanilla bean.
T: restrained sweetish fondant, blackberry, brown bread, coffee.
F: earthy hops, coffee & vanilla.
P: light body, slick texture, soft carbonation.
Not too bad at almost 0%, even though it's mostly watered-down coffee, but what can you expect...

8/VI/24 - 33cl can form Geers (Oostakker), shared @ home, BB: 12/XII/24, LB02261022C, 08:00 (2024-375)
Clear dark brown to black beer, big creamy irregular solid beige head, stable, a bit adhesive, leaving some lacing in the glass. Aroma: all coffee, lots of coffee, mocha, sourish impression, some caramel, hint of vanilla. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: pretty sweet start, caramel, lots of cold coffee, mocha, pretty bitter. Aftertaste: more coffee, hint of cocoa powder, very bitter, hoppy, good roast, a bit sugary, more caramel, meh. Not very good, though it’s hard to tell why.

Pours to something looking as Irish coffee, bit fluffy cream head and black beer. Coffee, coffee beans, chocolate, quite roasted, very faintly ashy. Sweet-roast, coffee. Only sign of the missing alcohol is the rather empty finish. Some herbs and lightly sweetened cacao. Light body, good carbonation. Much better than expected. Txs to Stef!

Can. Almost black with big beige head. Looks good! Lots of coffee, dry roasted malts, vanilla. It starts like an ice coffee, but also has some coffee stout notes going on. After the first sip you start to notice it’s a bit watery and dry with present CO2 taste. Not very sweet and even less bitter. It’s nice to try, and well made, but it’s not something I will want to drink often.

33cl Blik van ONP5. Zwarte kleur, beige kraag. Veel koffie, licht zurig daardoor, vanille, gebrande mout, caramel, chocolade, meer koffie in de finish. Lichte body, waterig, wel smakelijk.

Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 30A: coffee, cacao and vanilla/ 15B). Can 33 cl - Batch LB02261022C (BBF 12/12/2024). AROMA: medium-high coffee aroma dominates. medium-low to low sweet background. APPEARANCE: very dark color with ruby highlights. medium brown head with good retention. TASTE: medium-high coffee flavour dominates. medium to medium-high bitterness with a dry and slightly bitter finish with notes of coffee. MOUTHFEEL: low body with medium carbonation. OVERALL: although the label states this beer has cacao and vanilla beans, the coffee is overwhelming, overpowering everything else. Unbalanced.

Pours black, medium siozed, slightly tanned head. Scent is intense, coffee forward, umami, milder chocolate undertone (very pure choc) . Taste is full, bitter, roasty, coffee is very clear. Without a doubt the best NA stout I've had so far (the only one I would concider to drink again) , though it's very coffee forward, lacking a bit of the stout itself. Impressive stuff, lets hope this evolves into something even better !
