(Draught at Walhalla Brewery & Proeflokaal, Amsterdam, 12 Aug 2023) Golden colour with big, frothy, white head. Malty, fruity nose with tropical fruit, peaches, citrus, orange peel and fresh herbal hops. Malty, fruity taste with notes of tropical fruit, peaches, bread, grass and a balanced herbal bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Rich and tasty. Nice one.

Sensory Session #99: challenging... malty-sweetish, honey, freshhops and a yeasty touch. Boozy. For a short time I was thinking of a triple, a very hoppy triple. Rather short finish with bitter hops. Boozy. --- Beer merged from original tick of FLORA Heavy Hoppy Blond on 18 Oct 2023 at 22:13 - Score: 6. Hell hopfiger Beginn. Weiche Herbe, der Hopfen bleibt stark, erstaunlich wenig kräutrig-hefig. Spritzig, frisch, nur bedingt alkoholisch. Langer, eher flacher Nachhall. 9/8/9/7/8/9

Can. Color: Clear golden, white head. Aroma: Malty, yeasty hints. Taste: Malty base. Yeasty notes. Starting with subtle floral hopbitterness that's going to a very dry over moderate to medium hopbitterness at the finish. Just over medium body, just below average carbonation. So this beer is exactly what the brewery promises: Belgian Blond with a very nice floral hop twist. Well done, Walhalla!

Aftertaste had Belgian style yeast, hops and bitterness. Tasty.

0.33 l can from 'Hoptimaal', canned in March 2023. Almost clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, quite fruity, gently resiny, a bit yeasty-spicy aroma of grapefruit, pine, orange peel, some honey and a touch of clove. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter, quite fruity, slightly resiny and a bit yeasty-spicy taste of grapefruit, pine, orange peel, clove, some honey and hints of banana, followed by a medium long, quite bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium to full body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nicely hoppy strong belgian golden, maybe lacking some of the typical yeast character though. Something different for sure, thumbs up for that.
