Bottle shared by Marko. Medium body, light carbonation. Medium sweetness and bitterness. Shitloads of caramel, syrupy kulér feeling, also lots of dried fruits. Perceivably old. Still good, but in an old way. Hops went away. Still kicking, not too good anymore though.

0.5l bottle, huge thanks FIn and Loz for saving it for me! Shared with SaintMatty and Gurthnar. Very dark amber body, off-white head. Caramel and dry fruit in the malt-drive naroma. Caramelly, dry, smooth, quite okay taste, light estery notes. Quite solid still! Really a huge shame the brewery's gone.

Großer Pfahlbock aus der Gesellschaftsbrauerei Viechtach, Flasche aus der Bierothek Regensburg. - Tiefdunkles Kupferrotbraun; leicht trüb. - In der Nase sattes Toast- und Dunkelmalz mit bocktypisch schwerer Süße, perfekt konterkariert mit roten Beeren und aromatisch hopfenwürziger Herbe mit feinen tropischen Noten (Mandarina Bavaria und Galaxy nennt das Etikett). - Antrunk satt und schwer sirupsüß dunkelmalzig mit bitterer Mokkaschokolade, Waldfrüchten und kräftiger zitrusfruchtiger Hopfung von derb-frischer Bittere. Milder rezent, vollmundig; schön kaschierter Alkohol. Im Abgang fein malzbitter und kernig hopfenbitter. - Die Brauerei spricht hier von einem für Bockbiere frischen und ungewohnten Aroma, und dieser Clash von bocktypischer Malzschwere, Bitterschokolade und kernig-frischer Kalthopfung ist in der Tat außergewöhnlich. Bottle, as Grosser Pfahlbock, thanks Fin&Loz! Red-brown, somewhat unstable golden head. Juicy, plum, raisin note, a hint toast, brown sugar, toffee on the palate, medium full mellow body, pleasant roast and preserved fruit finish, clementines retronasal. Nice!.

Bottle picked up Gessellschaftsbrauerei Getrankemarkt in Viechtach consumed at home Tuesday 7th March 2023. We had Celery and Stilton Soup. We're listening to Steve Lamaq on 6Music. Pours dark brown with a reddish hue and dirty off white head. This has a lovely maltiness but a distinct dark fruit skin twanginess, soft mouthfeel, some bitterness, caramel, wow this is fabulous. I think that I am becoming a bit of a fanboy where this brewery is concerned.

Tiny bottle Oct 6 2022, 0.33, drunk after a large amount of Baustelle Management in parallel with the day job. Jetzt geht's los! Deep chestnut brown, nice head. Sweet, tangy, sticky brown sugar cookie nose. Flavor is big light-brown caramel, slightly raisiny, toffee fruitcake. Light bitterness. Pretty good, on the sweet side for sure. Re-rate 2023, 0.5 bottle from the brewery, drier and more flavorful. Up that by 2 tenths, tasty.

bottle from the brewery's webshop. Deep amber colour, small head, stable. Malty start, quite aromatic hops tune in soon resulting in an overall bitter-sweet impression.

Gloanes Flascherl (...vielen Dank am See!): Hazy, amber coloured, small and stable off-white foamy layer, sweet-bitter malty and toasty-malty nose with a shy leafy-herbal background; mild to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, just medium-bodied, not overly soft; bitter-sweet toasty finish, balancing leafy-woody hops in the aftertaste. Not an exciting, but a well balanced and well quaffable Bock...

Huge thanks to quack-duck for that one! Bottle looks good, nice format. Beer in the glass dark brown, small head. Starts strong, not too alcoholic, fine malty roasty. Interesting hoppy-dry background. Finish well balanced, strong-malty. Nice one!
