A Limonata Pale… An Ultra Pale which emulates almost toxic levels of citrus zing. A nuclear sherbet dib-dab of lemon, lime and tropical pineapple.

330ml bottle @ Chez Sophie, Shrewsbury. Pours pale gold, large white head. Light lemon cheesecake aroma. Taste continues, exceptionally light and delicate with nuances of mango and tropical fruit making brief appearances. Light and breezy but rather tame.

Bottle on the train to Malmo, 13/08/16. Washed out orange meets murky greyish pink with a decent off white cap, not a great looker. Nose is pale malts, melon, tangerine, citric kissed straw, lemon peel. Taste comprises tangerine, sharp citric peel, lemonade, straw, toasted grains. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Average for the stlye but drinkable non the less.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at Real Ale. Gusher! Pours hazy gold with some floaties and a frothy, off-white head. Strong rindy citrus on the nose, some lime zest, pale bread. Light sweet flavour with some yeasty dryness, more rindy citrus, juicy grapefruit, tangerine, melon, orange, lime, a little pine. Light bodied with fairly lively, massaging carbonation. Finishes with moderate pale bread, some resin, flinty minerals, bitter orange rind, some ripening citrus fruits, more zezty notes, subtle mango and melon. Great stuff overall. Nice and juicy.

Keg @ Sparrow Bier Cafe, Bradford. Straw coloured with a thin head and a carbonation. It’s a dry tasting hoppy ale with an acute tasting citrus lemon flavour.

Keg at CASC. It pours cloudy gold with a medium white head. The nose is fresh, clean, soft, fruity, minerals, lemon, lime peel and straw. The taste is crisp, bitter, straw, minerals, grassy, fresh lemon, pithy lime with a firm, dry finish. Light body and fine, prickly carbonation. Crisp, bitter and crushable.
