Draught @ Choulette Experience. Pours a clear gold, pure white head. Lovely silky smooth triple character, medium bodied, with a fresh yeasty sweetness, fruity suggestions, good bitter close. Nice.

December 2012: 750 ml bottle from Vinoble / Voldby Købmandsgård, shared at local tasting. Pale golden colour, moderate white head. Fairly strong fruity and mildly spicy aroma. Fairly refreshing flavour for its strength, medium sweet, spicy with a hint of honey.

Bottle @ jbrus’s place. Cream and lemon and detergent in the aroma. Lemon and orange marmalade in the flavor. Some citric sourness. Anis. Citric sour cream aftertaste.

Commissioned bière de garde on 75 cl bottle with cork. Cream white, moussy, sticky head, warm yellowish blonde colour with fierce sparkling. Aroma of kiwi, green apple, freshly grated ginger, white grapes, honey, celery, sour cream, orange and hay. Fresh citrussy onset with sharp, mineral-like carbonation, sweetish malts, bit honeyish, light mouthfeel, dry powdery yeastiness, bit sourish, retronasal fruitiness, sweetish taste lingers but is countered by a late subtle hop bitterness and somewhat astringent, badly hidden alcohol.

750mL bottle at Churchkey thanks to Travlr. Thanks Gene! We thought we ordered La Choulette de Noel, but it came without a label so it was all Russian roulette here. Poured a clear light-orange/yellow color with a touch of a creamy white head, carbonation. Aroma was some peppery notes, with some funky character. Sparkling, highly carbonated - pretty sure infected - but enjoyable, fun to drink.

Last bottle at ChurchKey, courtesy of me. Almost a gusher. Cloudy straw color, massive white head. Aroma of dusty hay. Taste is hi carbonation earthy straw.

750ml bottle at Churchkey. Big pop when the cork comes off. Pours a clear orange with some lacing, creamy head. Big, fruity nose, spice, clove, hints of brett. Not funky, but a little grassy. Flavor is sweet, malty, spicy, grass, tropical fruit, caramel, clove, some ginger, white pepper. Full bodied, sticky finish. Decent.

Warning! Early amateur rating! Unusual fruity and slightly dusty beer. Floral. Refershing and easy drinking for it’s strength.
