Cask. No aroma. Almost clear dark amber colour. Creamy flavour, mild nut not, hint of grassy hops. Subtle combination, but not bad.

Cask (Saddle Inn, Keswick, York): A bit unclear, deep golden, "woody" hoppy nose with a subtle fruitiness; very light bodied, moderate bitter-sweet flavour; a certain fruitiness plus herbal hops in the dry finish. O.K......

Cask at the Wheatsheaf Hotel near Chatsworth. Light amber color. Malt, a bit of citrus, and hop aroma. Very good balance, with nice, carmelly malt and decent though not very strong hops. Very nice.

[Cask at Burnt Oak, Milton Keynes] A pale orangey brown bitter with a slight white head. Decent enough earthy hops, some malt, a moderate bitterness. Overall enjoyable enough, easy to drink, but an average, and fairly forgettable bitter.

Cask-conditioned at the Mad Bishop and Bear, Paddington Station 20/6/08. Deep gold in colour with a fluffy white head. Aroma of caramel and grassy hops. Flavour started sweet before a touch of spice and a decent bitter finish. Good.
