Taking cues from Newbarns brewing processes, we’ve mashed with heritage malts, Haná, Chevalier and Chit to create a smooth, light and rounded body with a sweet back note and a constant crisp fold right through the middle. Whirlpool additions of whole leaf UK Ernest and German Callista provide subtle yellow stone fruit and herbaceous notes whilst the fermentation process and spunding livens up the yeast aroma bringing floral bouquets and freshly baked white bread.

7-4-6-3-13 Can, two months after canning. Pours clear pale yellow, with a creamy head. Aroma is pale malts with cereals and hay, as well as citrusy hops with notes of berries, peppery notes and herbal minerals. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is pale malts with cereals and hay, as well as floral hops with peppery leafs, berries, fruits and grassy minerals. A bit boring, and not really all that refreshing.

1st August 2022Can. Clear gold beer with a good white head. Light palate, smooth until some developing minerally carbonation. Nice malts here, crisp and mildly sweet and with some Chevalier depth. Lager tang in the mid and then the Callista and Ernest hops kick in with crisp pine and a little hop spice and rounding off with their soft fruit character, Ernest perhaps a little more dominant, especially on the nose. Crisp finish. Lovely. I was gagging for a beer after the hoovering and cleaning out the dusty hoover and this hit the spot perfectly and a lager I could happily spend the whole evening with.

Can from HoTM. It pours clear straw yellow with a medium frothy white head. The aroma is fragrant, floral, leafy, herbal, spicy, cereal, nuttiness and snappy biscuit. The taste is crispy, snappy, dry, grassy, leafy, herbal, nutty, cereal, biscuit, fragrant, floral and a touch if bread with a drying finish. Average body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Rounded and fairly quenching. Doesn't blow your socks off, but it drinks decent anyhow.
