650ml bottle. Jet black colour with slightly late awakening, average, thick, creamy, moderately lasting and lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, dark malty and slightly fruity aroma, notes of dark chocolate, dark cocoa, some coffee, couverture, cherry [Oops! 5C aroma], cherry flavoured chocolate. Taste is sweet-ish and slightly dry, roasty, chocolately, dark malty, slightly fruity, notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, hints of cherry, cherry liqueur; minimally warming, alcoholic finish with metallic overtones. Slightly creamy, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally repellent palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Well balanced, not too sweet, relatively simple and focussed - pretty decent.

Can (9/8/20) pour from Yeti pack from Julio's Liquors. It's an opaque black with finger-width light brown foam head with decent retention, light viscosity and light lacing. Aroma is strong earthy malt and weaker cherry after a good swirl. Taste is strong earthy malt and light cacao. Mouthfeel is light-to-medium bodied with smooth, fairly thin texture, soft carbonation, no sign of alcohol and finish as taste. Overall, age was probably not kind to this but there should be more cherry here in aroma and taste 18 months out. Kind of thin. Drink fresh!

32 oz. Pounder can shared by tfontana. 2020 vintage. Aroma maybe has a wisp of cherry. You would think you would still find some cherry in the flavor. Not really. Although it’s still a decent chocolatey based out.

Bottle split at the optimal climatic conditions tasting, Hazlemere, picked up in Ireland 11/08/21. Black with a decent tan head. Nose is chocolate, roasted tones, charr, dried fruits, toffee. Taste comprises cocoa powder, brown sugar dusting, red berry fruits, molasses, toffee. Medium plus bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light spike of alcohol. Passable impy but firmly stuck in 3rd gear and lacking any great depth.

Bottle shared in HW - cheers to Cloin. Pours deep brown with a frothy, beige head. Mild aged dark malts, cocoa, ash, day-old coffee. Medium bodied with fine, massaging carbonation. Lightly warming finish, some cocoa, mellow ash, old berries. Not bad.

Tasting at Chez Cloin. Thanks to Cloin. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Palate is light and semi dry, decent fine carbonation. Slightly thin dark malts, obvious coffee, somewhat earthy. Modest dark chocolate, really not on the front foot. The cherry is barely there. Dry finish. Old school - proper. The description bares just a passing resemblance to the beer. Not much chocolate and even less cherry!
