Pours slightly hazed blonde. Large white head , rather stable ( especially for its size ). Scent is earthy hops, fairly intense and for sure dominant. Taste is sharp, bitter (obviously). Dank intense earthy hops. Remains balanced and consumable though. Not over the top, but going to a clear direction. High carbo over a medium body. Nice and typical de ranke greatness !

Bottle. Color: Clear golden, huge white head. Aroma: Floral hop. Taste: Floral and spicy hop. Biscuity malty backbone. Syrong hopbitterness at the very dry and bit spicy finish. Very light citrus fruit. Medium body, just below average carbonation. Another very nice De Ranke beer.

Bottle. HOTM online. 8 and a bit quid for a 750. Can’t knock that with the biggest of sticks. Anyhoo. Mostly clear honey gold. Thick firm lasting almost fully lacing white foam. Looks the beans. Lemon rind and fresh clipped privet. Clean tangy yeast. Bright fresh malt. Taste has some honey sweetness before a big hit of fresh old world grassy hop leaf bitterness kicks in. Clean and fresh on the palate with rolling foamy carbonation. Leafy grassy bitterness to finish. Unreal condition on this. This is what a brewer like De Ranke does best. Super tasty classy beer in perfect nick.

A golden beer, a head is quite big and blond. Aroma has flower hoppyness, fruitness, even pollen dryness. Taste has frutiness, flowers, nicely dry and bitter. Great beer, aromatic, bitter and dry.

Bottle at home in Hackney - picked up from HOTM. Pours clear honey-gold with a billowing, frothy white head. Highly effervescent. Light sweet flavour with ample crunchy pale grains, straw, grassy hops, dried citrus peel, soft yeast, dirty hay. Light bodied with lively, massaging carbonation. Super clean finish, lightly drying, some fresh and crunchy cereal, more dirty straw and hay, bitter grass, dried pale malts. Highly drinkable. Nice lingering, cleansing bitterness.

750ml bottle from Raynville Superstore. It pours lightly hazy deep golden - blonde with a huge billowing, fluffy white head. The aroma is freshly baked bread, biscuity malt, hay, grassy, nuttiness, light spice, twist of citrus, lemon and lime. The taste is firmly dry, big hit of bitterness which builds and lingers throughout, green, grassy, slightly herbal, spicy, leafy, bitter citrus peel, pithy, zesty, waxy peel, lemon, lime, bready malt base, biscuit, toasty grain and cereal with a drying, bitter grassy finale. Medium body and high, foamy carbonation. Punchy and demand a bit of attention. Very quaffable.
