[Bamberg 2018] 500 ml. bottle sampled @ Café Abseits. Orange. Nose is quite sweet orange, oily, toffee as to be expected. Sweet orange peel, candy, toffee, oily very basic bit dull but fair, far from best stone beer I have had.

Bottle. Color: Slightly hazy amber, off-white head. Aroma: Malt, caramel. Taste: Medium sweet, very malty, notes of caramel. Light bitterness. Hints of toast, bread. minerals and ash. Medium body, average carbonation. Ok.

7 3 7 3 14 Draft at In De Wildeman. Fairly hazy orange golden with an off white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, malt, grain and light yeast. Flavour is above moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

500ml swing-top bottle, 5.8 % abv, kindly shared by djoeye. Shot and smoke when opened. Off-white head, misty orange body, fair lacing. Mid-sweet malt driven aroma, hints of noble hops. Taste of caramel, bread, biscuit, and dried fruit, impression of fruit cake. Rounded mid-sweet malty ending. Nice depth. Decent. (Oktoberfest, Pivoteka H7, Tromsø 26.10.2017).

Botlle. Pours alightly hazy orangeish amber with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt, yeast and hops, with some fruity notes. Sweetish, malty flavour with notes of yeast and bitter, hoppy touches, complemented by fruity hints. Estery and malty aftertaste. Quite refreshing and not bad, despite being a macrobrew of a rather unclear style.

Re-rating (previous 3.2) based on personal perceptions. Bottle 50 cl - Batch unknown (BBF 15.11.19). AROMA: medium-low cereal husk aroma, followed by low caramelised malt notes. APPEARANCE: amber color and clear. medium ivory head with good retention. TASTE: similar to the aroma with slight cereal husk, minerally notes, and malt presence (caramelized). low bitterness with a semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium-low body with medium carbonation. slight astringency. OVERALL: a steinbier with a bit of cereal husk notes but quite drinkable with malty presence.
