Bottle from Dranken Vandewoude and drunk at home. Clear gold colour lasting cream head. Apricot lambic aroma. Good acidity throughout. Good Apricot flavours. Still quite sour though. Yes the fruit kicks in and gives it some sweetness. Good apricots. Lovely.

Crystal golden with a fizzy white head. Funky fruit tones, Brett, apricot, stone fruit, farmyard, old wood. Finish is long and full of tart acidic fruit notes. Medium, fizzy body. A joy.

15 September 2024. At 16de Brugs Bierfestival. Cheers to Anke, Kevin & Jerre!

Fermenting plum, apricot, gooseberry. Very sour apricot, plum, citrus zest. Tart, funky finish, stone fruit pits, bit woody. Intense, very nice.

750 ml c&c bottle. Vintage 2023, Best by 14-12-2033. Pours a murky yellow color with a small fizzy white head that slowly recedes to a fine surface scum. The aroma is strong and distinct with sour apricots. The taste is sour fruits, mostly apricots, but I also detect some sour grape and perhaps sour cherry notes. The key word here is 'sour', this is over the top in sour sensations. The palate is medium with medium acidity and the carbonation is lively. Finished long and sour. Overall: Decent, but lacked finesse. Perhaps time will mellow this out a bit if I throw a bottle in the cellar.

75cl bottle (vintage 23/24) from Het Huis van de Geuze webshop.
F: thin, white, quick gone.
C: shiny gold, hazy.
A: sour yellow stone fruits, apricot, gooseberries, woody, brett, bit lactic.
T: sour apricot, yellow stone fruits, gooseberries, brett, woody, yoghurt, sour juicy fruity, bit lemon, bit too sour all together even for the style yet nice balanced still, fully enjoyed.

Funky, tart and juicy with apricot notes, some sourness, hints of peaches and farmyardy vibes. Refreshing, pretty complex

375mL bottled Dec 14, 2023, drunk Dec 3, 2024. Clear apricot juice (brassy-coppery-golden). Small, off-white head. Lactic acid and light sulfur with strong fruit acid though it's not really overly discernible. Yes, if I sniff at it long enough, I would get apricots, but it's not jumping out of the glass or clearly-expressed. But I like the funk, mild Brett, no acetic and seemingly reasonably mellow lactic character. In the mouth it's a touch metallic, very sulfur-forward, lots of lactic character and a fruity, bretty, apricot laced brightness that seems supressed by all of it. Great malty texture as always (and good wheat softness/chewiness), good attenuation. Just a bit too bogged down by some heavier elements. But of course, it's all of one year-old. My patience to hold lambics for years and years is not what it once was, though.
